Have recently switched from TVR's to a Tiger Cat E1. It's fitted with Michelin Exalto 185/65 R14 tyres. It weighs approx 900kg with the weight distribution almost exactly a 50:50 split. Can anyone recommend the ideal tyre pressures - I've currently got it on 20psi all round.

Cheers.

900kg!! Mine weights about 650Kg without me in it

I run it with 19psi cold for road use and on the track I run 19psi hot which I'm guessing is probably 14psi cold (I've never measured it once they'd cooled off).

I asked a similar question some time ago when I first got my Supercat, the advice I got was 19psi as a benchmark and that seems to work fairly well for me.

I had been running higher pressures and traction was to be honest very poor, I also had Tyfoon tyres, which were IMO crap, decent tyres at 19psi made for a much better drive.
