Seriously considering my first kit car & the Ginetta G20 or G4 seem good combination of speed, price & useability.

Is this a good starter & where should i look for further information & advice? magazines, books personal web pages?

I presume kits can only be bought direct from Ginettacars at reasonable prices

Any other guidance will be apreciated for a novice like me

Drop Minimax an email, he has just brought a Ginetta. Its a G33 but I'm sure he'll give you plenty of advice...

yep, Tom (minimax) researches purchases extensively so should be able to point you in the direction of plenty of info.

Suffice to say, he loves his!

The G20 and G4 are produced by two seperate companies. The G20 is from Ginetta Cars in Sheffield, and the G4 is from Dare in Essex.

The reasons behind this are long and protracted, and can be found else where on this site (probably in the Ginetta forum).

You'll also find reviews of both cars on Pistonheads.

The G4 here: www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=112&i=3501

And the G20 here: www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=112&i=4323
