Anyone going to Goodwood?
Discussion
Thought Goodwood Festival of Speed would be an interesting thing to see.
Never been before, but when your other half shows an interest in going to a motorsport event, well it would be a shame not to let her have her way really.
Tickets were a bit steep. Took the plung though. Going on Saturday (27th).
Anyone else venturing out that way?

Hi Mark.
We're going on Friday as usual. Managed to get free tickets from the Sunday Times via a link posted on the CRC site You'll enjoy it, trust me, loads of interesting cars and bikes both in the pits and around the site, All hands on close.
Cheers Chris

You will never go to a motoring event to match it.
There are cars there from all over the world that do not leave their museums for any other event. Not only are they there, they also run up the hill.
2 years ago wandering through the pits first thing in the morning I was asked to lend a hand starting a car. I had to advance the ignition just as the engine fired and catch it on the hand throttle. The guy swung on the starting handle and it was off with a bang and running sweetly.
I'd just helped start a Blower Bently.
Now that's how close you get to the action.

im going for the 3 days......excellent!
me and my mate del have been looking forward to the g.f.o.s,we are going to be staying at the bunn leisure campsite in selsey(the pitch was only 50-odd quid with elec hook-up for the whole weekend, includes passes for all the evening entertainment and entry to the bars)we are leaving essex whilst the footie is on so we get a nice numpty-free 2hr journey...hopefully......i wont be in the 'tina though as it is still poorly but i will be in my henna red e30 (g.f.o.s and p.h sticker on rear window).

Let me know a day. I plan to go but not Sunday.
You know it is ticket only this year?
Steve
One of the guys I was with last weekend said he had some spare tickets. I guess it isn't far from you Steve?
