Was a bit surprised reading the article about the motorshow on the totalkitcar site.

Surprised how many kit car builders had stands there.

The stand space at such a show can't be cheap (especially compared to kit shows).

Obviously some manufactureres are making a fair bit of money.

Good for them when it seems yet another manufacturer has called in the receivers. It looks like RS Jigtec have thrown in the towel!

I wonder just how much a kit chassis jig and mould really are worth?

On one hand you have Robin Hood selling up, looking for vast amounts of money, while others just go bust!

There weren't any kit car manufacturer's stands as such, but a couple of stands which a number of 'specialist' car manufacturers (Marlin, Kamala, Deronda, Arial, GTM and Westfield) shared.

Had a word with Mark Keen from Kamala who said they'd been invited to attend as part of some special promotion thing that several companies such as Avon tyres were involved with. Even got a free set of Avons for being there!

As you say, Motor Show stand space ain't cheap, and I doubt there are many kit car companies that could afford (or at least justify) even a tiny stand in normal circumstances.
