I would love some suggestions as to large feasible supercar builds, I am looking at the Nemesis, but haven't made any commitments.
I don't want to go in the ultima direction, but love the f360, but not as a rag top.
The phantom although a beautiful car is too small.
Any links would be of help, noticed the one to the SLR, WOW! pity it won't be turned into a kit.

What sort of thing are you after, replica or unique?
There's plenty of GT40 replcias, even a Lola T70. Parallel Designs do a Diablo replica. I'll check my copy of the Totalkitcar Almanac if you need more choice!

more of an everyday type of hard top, rather than gt40, hence the nemesis

Ginetta have a new 360 / nemesis esque coupe thingy coming to completion....could well be worth the wait from what I've seen.

Well, if you want to tackle a serious project, there's a guy here in Florida on eBay (US version) who recently sold the body molds to make a replica of the Lexus concept car in Minority Report.

You can still see the ad if you search for item number 2478368750 - and apparently he has one body shell to sell for $2000 (around 1100 pounds, if I'm converting correctly)

As it's just a body shell, it would quite a bit of work to make it a complete car, but at least it's designed to use glass from readily available production cars.

Had a look at the moulds, a bit beyond me I'm afraid. i have some panel beating experience but that looked like it needed the hands of a professional.

Sorry for the confusion, the model isn't a 360 Ginetta...I just meant it is a coupe in the Ferrari 360 or nemesis esque mould (i.e. an original design, not a cobra, or 7, or Diablo copy).
You'd be hard pushed to find anything as they haven't announced it..(oops thats me in trouble, do I care?)

They bought the design / moulds etc from South Africa (if I'm not mistaken) and are currently productionising it.
It looks a bit of a mix between, RV nemesis, Imola from www.amsportscars.co.uk, but somewhat more agressive than say a phantom.

Thanx, didn't see any of these at stoneleigh, this is the type of modern look I'd like to go for but BIGGER, it uses a 2ltr vauxhall donor, so in the MR2 category, looks a bit like a GTO with Sierra back lights, nice to see they've updated to the 'tvr front' with those projector beam headlights, would I be correct in placing this next to the 5exi playing field perhaps.
Andycanam is in the right direction for size, an xj220 replica would indeed be interesting. I feel that his version of the Nemesis may hit the mark.
But don't stop coming up with some suggestions, a supercar or replica that's practical for everyday use, not a rag top, min 3.0ltr engine.
cheers

Been having a look around a couple of american websites, this is close, these are the sort of choices I would like in England

I know we have the expertise, just look at the noble m14. Okay not exactly a kit car but at least it's got it's routes from this industry.
I've got a year to make my choice, hopefully RV dynamics updated nemesis will bring the car into the 21st century with a bang, that's after finishing the python project.
Going up to the NEC to have a look around, no doubt the bank manager would have a fit with the cars I'm looking at!

I to am looking for basicly a modern looking sports car, but in a kit, I'm hard pushed to find one atm...

The only things I have found are the k1 attack and the 5exi (hard top verson early next year btw, they are working on it atm)

There are planty of manufactures, how hard can it really be to look at the current crop of sports cars and come up with a new mold/shell that goes onto the existing cars?

Obviously I'm going to suggest that Phantom is a modern looking sports coupe, have you looked?

Dangerrous, why do you think it is too small? cockpit or overall dimensions? interested to know.

I like the phantom, but they have no replyed to my e-mails and seem to be moving towards production cars.

It also begs the question why are there not more kit cars like the phantom?

They probably haven't replied due to moving units and not being very computer literate at the factory!

You need to phone, Norman is a bit old school

Wish i could afford it unfortunatly think the phantom is out of my price range

got about 20-25k tops, tho less would be better as it would be my fist kit car, so if i give up would not be as bad!

However i still want somthing that i could drive frequently, mfortably and in all weather.

I find this amusing, as many people I know over here look at the UK kit car websites, and wish we had some of the choices you have. More importantly, I know almost all of us wish we had government institutions that even have a clue what a kit car is.

That said, another choice that may be smaller than you want is the Hawk HF3000. I've always been fond of the Stratos, and I've heard the Alfa-powered variant can definitely move (unfortunately, I was somewhat funds-deficient recently when a fellow nearby sold a quite good looking replica of the Stratos show car).
