5exi and/or similar?

Hiya all,
I'm currently looking into my first kit car project
very exciting!
I'm looking for car somthing like the 5exi/k1 attack(particualy like ths, tho its abit pricy for me
)/Veranti (mr2 mod) really like this, but i have yet to drive an mr2 (so not sure on peformance) also not sure on the saefty angle when chopping the roof off...
Anyway, if anyone has any pics/links to alternatives they would be much apprechiated

IMHO Althalus the 5exi will be the cheaper of the cars you mention when it comes to a final build cost.
Don't be put off by that statement either. I have heard of various people comparing the 5exi on a par to cars like the GTM Libra recently. This will most certainly cost more to build. Both however are very good cars.
It might be worth checking the forum on Madabout Kit Cars http://forum.madabout-kitcars.com/ where a few 5exi builders are giving some good feedback.
My website is in my profile. That will show you some of how the car is built and some of the problems I have had.
I am a build virgin as are many of the builders. It is apparently a good first build. My only word of warning to this is being as the car is so new, the build manual is still undergoing constant updates.
As for the MR2 (I've got one of those too), they are not that fast unless you buy a turbo car or get a standard car tuned. I would imagine the Veranti weighs more than the standard car too as it has additional structural support and the hood mechanism.
90% of kit cars designed for speed will be quicker and (if set up right) better handling than the MR2. IMO of course.
