Here goes my first post in the 'Gassing Station'.

I'm looking at getting a Se7en type kit car. I have had a look at a few, went to Stoneleigh a few weeks ago, browsed and got hooked.

I have tried to squeeze myself into a wide bodied Westfield (no, i'm not a lard arse, but am 6'3" and bean pole like), but my kness clash with the steering wheel.

I tried out a Quantum Extreme and ther was loads of room (length and width) with the added bonus of a usable lockable boot !

I'm having a look at an Extreme this weekend, but wondered if anyone has owned one or have any comments. I must admit they look a bit different from the Caterhams / Westfields but could live with it.

Look forward to hearing those comments.

Hi

Not exactly an answer to your question but I would agree with the wide bodied Westfield comment. My father had a factory built Sport 2000 (wide) and whilst it was by far the nicest I've seen I could never get comfortable enough to enjoy driving it.

I'm a smidge under 6'4" with size 10 shoes and even the floor mounted pedals in his car couldn't help. I never felt that confident of hitting the correct pedal if I needed to stop in an emergency so I tended to drive way below my limits and thus have less fun. (Incidentally I always heel & toe in my griff and am generally quite nimble footed - well, in a car anyway!)

Good Luck shopping

I was very supprised at the length of the drivers footwell in the RAW Striker. It's designed with the engine over to the passenger side thus allowing the drivers side to be longer. Worth a look as these cars are supposed to be the best handling Se7en around and something I'll be looking at as a next build

Cheers for the replies, i'm glad it's not just me that struggle to get comfortable in a Se7en.

Any news / reviews on Extreme's ???
