Capesthorne Hall, near Wilmslow/Alderley Edge....

Always a great day out, in lovely surroundings, even the weather forecast is good

Well worth the drive out, whether you have a kit car or not....

AND you get chance to meet Fibs......

Can't make this Sunday.

Apparantly I will be trimming the hedge at the side of the house.

(So I have been informed anyway!)

You shoudn't trim a hedge at this time of year! There may be nesting birds in it and you woudn't want to disturb them would you!

What, this Sunday?!!! This Sunday coming up? This Sunday when I don't have anything else planned? This Sunday when I'm not going to be crawling underneath the Z messing with suspension parts?!! This Sunday at Capesthorne, less than 10 miles from where I live??!!!

Well bloomin' 'eck!! I might just have to check it out!

Do manufacturers show up with nice bits of kit or is it more of a general meet up for enthusiasts?

Cheers,
Rob

There are several trade stands selling tools etc, club stands, competition for best car, just a real nice relaxed atmosphere........One of the best of the smaller shows (imo)

As an aside, I like to set an hour aside for looking round inside Capesthorne hall, really beautiful if you're into that kind of thing....

Might see you there then?, I will be in a green Tiger Supersix with a loud yellow stripe up the bonnet....

I am not a mouse, I am 100% man.... I wear the trousers and rule the roost in my household.

And I have my wife's permission to say that.

Unfortunately, No.
Firstly as it is stuck on the car park at work with a pressure leak!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly as this will be a family outing and there are three of us!
(Don't think Mark would appreciate the boot seat!).

Well, disaster struck on the way down, the clutch cable snapped on the Tiger, (as it did going down to Stoneleigh a couple of weeks ago), but fortunately I carried a spare and effected emergency repairs to limp home, and carry on to Capesthorne in my tin top.....

Wonderful show as usual, glorious weather,(unlike last year), fine cars, even PF. on the Which Kitcar? stand was topping up his tan........

Even the burgers were eatable..........

Yep I made it, first time for me, great cars, lovely venue, brilliant weather and those kit car folk are very friendly, unlike the T350 owner who I parked next to who couldn't be bothered to even pass the time of day with a fellow tiv driver. Ah well I suppose it takes all sorts.

Andy.

I guess that's what you get for owning a T350T but not being able to get the lids off on a day like yesterday

Nice Griff Andy, I ogled it a bit!

Was a lovely day, some very, very nice cars there, and some - errr - interesting cars. I guess that's the beauty of the kit car world though.

Cheers,
Rob

Sunburn? I dunno how I managed to avoid sunstroke! I had to walk back to Wilmslow train station(you might have seen me in the hooped rugby jersey walking along the road) and got nicely cooked - stick a fork in me and clear juices would run out!

Quinny, hadn't realised you were a PHer, I would have come over and said hi if I'd known. Anyway, here are some pics from the show: sorry if it takes a while to load:

Does anyone know what this is?

Note to self - owners don't like it when you ask to lick their dashboard...

Couldn't make up my mind whether I liked this or not...

Saw this on the way home, top down and no sign of the owner. Someone's confident!

A welcome sight on the way home!

And a not-so-welcome one. Looks like they're sending them on SAS survival courses now...
