It maybe worth nothing that the spec in the description states MeisterR ClubRace coilovers, however the photos show Yellow speed coilover top mounts in the engine bay.

Hi Dapper,

Good spot! I've just been in touch with the seller and he has confirmed that indeed these are not Meister Rs, they are in fact Yellow Speed Racing YSR Dynamic Pro Sport coilovers. He had intended to purchase the Meister Rs but then went for the YSR instead because of the greater range of adjustability, hence the confusion.

We will update the listing shortly to reflect this.

Many thanks!

That BBR exhaust really gives it another 50BHP?

The BBR Super 175 pack is comprised of the following:

High-Flow Air Filter: A BBR panel air filter replaces the standard unit for better airflow.
4-into-1 Exhaust Manifold: A stainless steel tubular exhaust manifold improves exhaust gas flow and performance.
High-Performance Camshafts: Custom-developed BBR intake and exhaust camshafts with unique lift and timing profiles to maximize the power spread.
ECU Remap: Comprehensive engine management system recalibration by BBR to optimize the new hardware while retaining factory electronic fail-safes and MOT emissions compliance.
Tailpipe Trims & Badging: Includes 3.5-inch branded stainless steel tailpipe trims

Thanks - that must make a hell of a difference

Sorry if I have missed it, but the last service was at £18k in 2018?

The digital service record has not been updated properly.

I’m sorry to ask more questions, but from the updated service record there is still a gap between 2018 to July 2025 with no service record… is that correct?

The car was also serviced by Alan Myerscough Ltd shortly before I bought the car in March 2025. Between 2018 - 2025 the car was serviced locally and not at a Mazda franchised dealer, hence the gap in digital service record. I’m afraid I cannot provide receipt evidence of this but it is the case. The car also only covered approx 6k miles during that period.

Before I purchased the car I went over it with a fine tooth comb, it is pristine and mechanically prefect. Since then I’ve spent many thousands of pounds making it (in my opinion) excellent. I’m only selling now as I’ve bought another sports car.

I don’t think you will find another NC MX5 which has had the full BBR treatment which is also as immaculate and low miles as this one.

I don’t doubt what you say for a second and the car does look excellent… I’m sure you can understand the concern though, as when whoever is lucky to purchase it and they want to sell it many years down the line, they will be asked the same question… I thank you for the information you have provided and I will bid accordingly.
