Hi, thanks for your question, you have the ability to submit pre-auction offers on our vehicles up to 48 hours before the auction starts, where the seller then has the option to either accept the offer and stop the auction or continue to let it run. However as this lovely M5 has less than 48 hours before starting, instead you will need to bid to what you are prepared to pay and hope no one out bids you wink

Best of luck!

Many thanks,

Sam

Hi, This is Dave from Pistonheads replying on the customers behalf as they are currently without signal. The rod bearings were replaced in November 2020 when the car had just over 80k on the clock (See attached image) and the seller reports that the clutch was refreshed at 88,000 miles. Both of these factors were a strong part of his buying decision.

I hope this helps

Best wishes
Dave

In one of the pictures of the underside of the car, there looks like an oil leak. Is there/ was there an oil leak? Any remedial work need doing?

Thanks,

“One of the photos of the underside shows an oil leak”
What the shop photos of the rod bearing works?!?!?!
So, you haven’t owned one of these and do not know the pertinent things to look for.
I’m just interested to see if this one goes for less than £30k because it’s so far north.

Ahhhhhhh memories.

My pal used to own this car LC07 DXT around 11 years ago or so, an absolutely lovely thing, fond memories for blatting about all over in it. It always sounded brilliant then, I bet it's something else with the eventuri carbon plenum and intakes now.

Lovely car, GLWS.

Can you advise if the throttling actuators have been replaced?

Do you know if the crankshaft was reground at the time of the bearing replacement?

Has the car ever been mapped?

Has the SMG ever been replaced?

Any bushes in the suspension or diff been replaced?

Thank you

Hi CoxieBoy

Many thanks for your question. This is Dave from PistonHeads Auctions. I am just replying on the owners behalf as he is out of the country currently. With regards to oil in the image you can see, this was the remnants where the oil system was overfilled just before his ownership. This was addressed straight away.

I hope this helps and good luck with your bidding

Kind Regards
Dave

Additional question if I may.

Has there ever been a water leak into the boot?

You seemed to be enjoying the car reading your thread on Readers Cars. Can I ask why you are selling it so relatively soon?

Also, are you aware of any faults or issues that will need sorting at some point or other?

Hi, in pic 233 of 259 on the left of the image the seam appears to have split and has been compromised. Is this isolated to this area only.
