Good morning.
I understand the mileage and reasoning for the sale as I to have a few in storage.
Straight question does everything work as it shuld .
Thanks for reading

Yes, as far as I know. I bought it from a AM dealer who purchased it from a collector that had to sell due to a divorce. The only thing I know of is there is now a problem with the handbrake cable. No resistance.. seems cable may have come loose or broke. Just happened.. Have booked in AM specialist to determine problem.I understand the mileage and reasoning for the sale as I to have a few in storage.

Thanks. It's not miles related either, it's a refrigerant gas/liquid that escapes/evaporates over time if not used up. Should last a few years but that's all. Also good to run it often, in the DB7, the seals would dry out and perish, and the parts are relatively cheap but it’s 2k plus labour, it’s dash out engine. Sorry it’s not for me, I don’t understand the collectors argument and just leaving the car to perish, at least run it 1000 miles a year, change fluids recharge ac gas, that takes the car to still low mileage of 23000 and the value is intact.

I m in agreement, the fact the car hasn t really been used over the last 4/5 years, I ve made my maximum bid as I feel it ll need an unknown spend to get it up to speed
Shame, as it looks a good example apart from this
Thank you again for your interest and bidding on the car. On any auction we only ask bidders to bid to the maximum they can afford on any car. That, of course is their own choice.Shame, as it looks a good example apart from this
This is indeed one of the finest examples available for sale today ... for peace of mind it may be prevalent to have a service done on the car, and this should be taken into consideration when bidding. But lets be honest you do not buy any Aston Martin if you are expecting low maintenance costs, its part and parcel of the ownership experience which Aston owners are a custom too ... its the pay off for having one of the prettiest cars ever made, with one of the best engines ever made.
Good luck with your bidding everyone
Not sure how you can say it s one of the finest out there. Have you had it up on a ramp, if so please upload photos. This seems to me it s got only 13000 miles so it must be a good one. Nope, ac seal problems for sure, that s a 2.5k fix, out dated tyres and flat spots for sure, no service for 5 years, all old fluids ruining rubber hoses and seals. That is the known. Then the Bamford Rose inspection. Good luck to the eventual winner, but eyes wide open, it could be a Swan Car, hopefully not. Really think the owner should have at least taken it for a brand new service at a Specialist full PPi disclosure and I would have bid a lot higher than 11000 and guess Steve too. Would be great if the winner is a Pistonheads Member and he can detail the ownership experience after purchase.

Agreed Pete, but I am talking from experience. Some cars can sit better than most, but Aston is not one of them. I like the openness of Pistonheads forums and I’m just pointing that out. When I was asking the questions early on, I really wanted the owner to put my mind at rest and say yes to service yes to ac yes to new tyres, and recent PPi, and I would have gone way way higher on my bid.
