Looks pretty rusty underneath. Has any protection ever been applied (ie Dinitrol?) And - ent did cylinder head need reconditioning?

Hi,

In my opinion the vehicle is in good condition underneath given the age and mileage of the vehicle, as well as the type of vehicle you are looking at. I have no knowledge or evidence of any treatment been done underneath.

And yes, the cylinder head has benefitted from a refurb along with other work carried out.

Thanks

Thank and apologies - typo in my post - do you know why the head needed reconditioning as that’s unusual for a TDCi. Many thanks

Ah no problem.. it all started when we had to get the heater valve replaced as the hot air blowers stopped working.. shortly after we had issues with the temp gauge rising. It turned out that the engine had overheated due the water pump failure and circulation problems. A cylinder was down on compression due to head gasket so we had the head skimmed at the same time as well as new timing chain, egr and other bits show on the invoice.

Hope that clears things up for you, let me know if you require any further information.

Thanks,

Rob
