2016 Alfa Romeo 4C
Discussion
The last bolt check (and tightening if needed) was done in November 2024 at Alfa Workshop, they always check all bolts as part of the full service.
The colour is "Special Solid - Rosso Alfa". The only other red available at the time of purchase was the sparkly red with silver speckles that looked like fancy nail polish. I don't know what it was called I'm afraid.

Good questions.
1. When the clatch was being upgraded to TCT (to handle 330 bhp) the refrigerant line was damaged somehow and the refill didn't last, that had to be repaired.
2. Air conditioning 'pump' (I'd call it compressor) stopped working at some point later (part failure) and Alfa Workshop disconnected it from the belt to make sure nothing happens while we await replacement from Italy. As the summer was over I just decided to have it done next time I was at the Workshop which they did.
So we're talking about one fault and one incident with the repair being split into two events as the part was not in stock. The compressor is new now and should last another 40,000 miles.
Lights are original, never had any issues with them TBH
Alfa's get bad rep for reliability etc but I've had no problems with the car in general, mechanically it's been amazing. My only gripes were the paint, the aero & handling. I fixed the paint (had it resprayed and wrapped), the aero (the car is no longer a hovercraft at high speed and holds the road like nothing else due to carbon fibre aero work below) and the handling (suspension bushes, custom spacers etc). The effect is the perfect 4C that Alfa should have built in the first place.

Thanks for the extra information. You reference a respray - was this the whole car or just the front end? Was this for ‘road rash’ or accident damage? When was this work completed?
As you also reference the aero work - has the car been used on track at all? Any issues if it has?
Regards

The respray work was done in 2016, not long after purchase, when I realised how easely the paint gets damaged on the road. I then had the car wrapped immediately after with the self healing wrap (front, sides and top).
I took the car to the track twice, Bands Hatch and Silverstone, pre-COVID. It is a very capable car on track but it just wasn't my thing - I love the car too much to push it to the limit. It is not the sort of car you don't mind bringing back on the trailer and fixing it up in your garage. The aero and last power upgrade were never tested on track, as much as I was hoping to do it one day I never did it in the end. Partly because it was extremely tasking mentally too, and I like the car way too much.
