I can't share the exact reserve price due to Pistonhead's rules, but let's just say you're essentially paying for the Mugen kit, and the FK2 comes as a bonus!

The car’s in both the catalogue and on the Mugen website.

The sale also comes with a copy of the first owner's V5C (from Mugen Euro Co Ltd).

Here’s the price list for Mugen’s options back in 2016.

The price is for a single wheel only.
Some parts are not on the list, like the Mugen Sports Mat, Mugen Plate Bolt, and Mugen Carbon Number Plate Garnish.

Hi, apologies for this question, as its my first time using PISTONHEADS auction, but what happens if the reserve is not met and I'm the winning bidder ?

And is the reserve meter on the auction posting itself a actual representation of how far off the reserve is, or is it just dangling at the halfway mark as default

Thanks again

Hi, thank you for your questions.

The car will not be sold if the reserve price is not met.

The reserve is set at a realistic level, as agreed upon after an in-depth discussion with David (Pistonhead).

Please note that the reserve meter is indicated by a four-level system:

1. Grey – still far from the reserve,
2. Amber – more bidding is needed,
3. Green – the reserve is nearly met, and
4. Green – the reserve has been met.

I hope this clarifies the process.

David, please feel free to add anything I may have missed.

Good luck with your bidding!

Yes thank you so much for your interest in the listing and your bidding.

The reserve has been set after in depth discussion and considerable research with the seller and shows a true reflection of the car as it should stand in the market today. It is a very unique car and not another like it has been seen. However we do ask that you bid as far as you are prepared to go for your value of such an amazing machine. For many auctions this could be well over the reserve figure ( as we see all the time here) or it may fall just short. If it is the latter then the car is not sold, but we will work with the highest bidder and seller to see if a sale could be agreed. If the auction meets reserve and over then the car is sold and the highest bidder is the winner.

The reserve meter is an indicator as perfectly described by the seller in his response. It follows a ratio ..so needle half way does not mean its half way to the reserve ... we as auctioneers need to show clearly if the reserve is almost met and then met, so bidders know they are actually buying and owning the car if they win.

Thank you so much your questions, and please do not hesitate to post more if you feel the need.

good luck with your bidding everyone, this is a truly exceptional car and should not be missed
