Lovely car.
Does it have, as my Mercedes-Benz estate does, a netting guard secured to a metal bar.
This metal bar lifts from the back of the rear seat backs and anchors into a slot rear the roof of the car above the seat backs, on both sides of the car obviously.
There is a second anchor point behind the front seats (near the roof) which will anchor the bar if the rear seats are laid flat to extend the boot. The screen WILL reach the roof from the much lower second (and more forward position).
This anchored netting will stop any flying objects striking the front passengers in the event of a serious collision, a serious concern if you have two very large dogs!

Thank you. That's splendid.
I love my dogs but the laws of physics would have very undesirable effects in the event of a sudden stop.
Two Mastiffs weighing 10 1/2 stone and 13 stone coming flying forward into the Driver's compartment at speed is an image I can do without.
The actual event would be even less desirable!!
Many thanks for your speedy reply

Clearly a very clean and tidy example of the C63 AMG. Q1. I note the passenger airbag appears to be currently switched off in the photos. Is the airbag in working order and hence this can be reactivated? Q2. The last photo shows the underside of the bonnet. It has some brown splashing on the foil section of the underside of the bonnet - do you know what caused this?
Hello David, answers as follows:
Q1: the passenger seat has a weight sensor. When nobody sits in the passenger seat the airbag is deactivated. When somebody sits there the indicator changes to airbag ON. It’s quite clever as it can distinguish between bags and people. This feature is not unique to this model. My wife’s 2013 SLK had this feature too.
Q2: good question! I have no idea what these markings are unfortunately. I have never tried to clean it to be honest for fear of damaging what I think is the heat shield (??). Either way, it’s not something the service centre ever commented on - including MB during their video inspections!
Hope this has helped! Cheers! Wes
