Hi Barry,

Just wondered if you used the car for track days / if there was any reason for upgrading the brakes? Also it hasn’t been serviced recently - are there any problems which you know about which will need addressing on the short term, in addition to the tyres? Has an over-rev report been done at any point and could this be shared?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Barry,

Can you also explain the inconsistent mileages in the MOT data? And do you have a file for all the work carried out on the car over the years?

Thanks,

Nick

Sorry for not replying sooner as I have been at work since 5.30am.

The car has not been tracked and it has been cherished by me in the last 8 years of ownership.
The PCCB brake discs started cracking around the mounting bolts. I could not justify the cost of new front ceramic discs so i put Girodiscs all round at a cost of around £4k. The rear PCCB discs are inexcellent condition are available with the car.

The car has been serviced by Porsche Swindon last September and so it has a year before it needs servicing again.

MOT History - if you look closely you will see that the MOT station put kms in instead of miles. Convert this back into miles and it is consistent all except one. There appears to have been an input error by the MOT station and I have sent a copy of the invoice to the dvla for correction.

I will try and reply to any questions as quickly as I can, but I cannot have my personal phone on at work.

I will spend tome going through the history of the car by phone if you wish and inspections are welcomed.

Sorry, forgot to respond to the over rev question.
VALs have been carried out by Porsche dealers during my ownership and there has not been an over rev.

Future work - next service the front strut top mounts will need replacement, but these are not expensive.

I have a comprehensive invoice history, which is available for inspection and will be given to the successful bidder.

Hi Barry, am I imagining it or is this the second time that your car has been for sale in the Pistonheads auction? If so, why did the previous sale not proceed? Thank you in advance.

This is the second time the car has been on the PH auction site. The first time it did not make the reserve price.

To print out a VAL would take many pages. If you decide to go ahead i will get an electronic copy from a Porsche Centre, as it will be stored on their PCSS system.

Thank you for the response Barry. I mistakenly thought that it had previously met the reserve.

Hi Barry
Wishing I had circa £35k swishing around in my back pocket, as this is a lovely thing.
Reminds me of one I owned back in 2006
