Hi John

Thank you for your genuinely good questions.

Firstly the owner's, there have been 4 previous owners before the current one, which is stated in the highlights of the listing. This number will also be verified on the V5 document.

The mileage is 100% correct as per the service history, in 2013 it as circa 24000 miles ... as you will have seen the MOT records though show as the car being toggled to KM ( easily done ) and this is occasionally done by MOT testing stations. with 40000 Km being equal to circa 24000 miles.

rest assured a very good example of a 911 (996) turbo ... good luck with your bidding John

Hi James

Great question and thank you for your interest in the listing.

It is our understanding, which the seller will confirm the car is fitted with the Mezger engine and doesn't have an IMS bearing issue.

Again to reassure its a fantastic car

Good luck with your bidding James

As mentioned previously, the 996 turbo is fitted with the Mezger engine and does not have IMS bearing issues that the normally aspirated engines have.

The Mezger engines are very robust and it is worth reading articles on Hans Mezger if you have a little time.

What else has been fixed/maintained on this car besides the standard services. I.e brake lines, rads etc….Is there documentation for this. Is it also possible to get a video of what the exhaust sounds like on this car since its an aftermarket tubi?

Beechtree classics - I have a file full of documents and I have only displayed what I considered the most relevant. I have parts purchase invoices and maintenance invoices that will all be handed over to the new owner.

Umirza85 - apart from servicing, fluid changes and additional maintenance, the car has had corroded manifold and turbocharger nuts replaced.
I worked for Porsche GB as a consultant for 8 years and any work necessary was done by the technicians in the workshop.
The previous owner had a new clutch, condensers fitted.
The new Girodiscs were fitted recently with pads sensors and shims.

Verdun99 - on the question of why so many owners .
The car was a Porsche GB motor show car and then used on their fleet. It was then sold to Ferrari Maranello in Egham. It was then sold to a very well known computer games company. The owner transferred it to his own personal ownership. I purchased it in 2016 and have owned it since.

The MOT kms was entered incorrectly in 2012. I have sent evidence to the DVLA and this should be corrected shortly.

Looks a nice example

What condition are the PCCBs, and were these removed to protect them from wear (and expensive replacement) or because they are worn?

Do you have a close up of the spec sticker from the inside of the front bonnet (picture 151) or service schedule so I can see the option codes?

Thanks

Hi Adam,
I replaced the PCCB brakes as the front ones had started cracking where they mount on the hub. The rear ones are fine. The brakes feel better on the Girodiscs!!
I will add a picture of the underbonnt sticker separately.

thanks

if others are interested these translate as:

sports seats
crest on wheels
PCCB
front spoiler lip (?)
top tint windscreen
sunroof
aerokit
body paint centre console
body paint seat backrests
crest on headrests
s/s exhaust pipes

the last codes indicate some exclusive progamme stuff - probably the "alu look" to centre and side air vents
