V5 in photos shows two owners; listing states one.

Yes standard comment of one previous owner trying to deceive it is one owner when what they mean is one previous as well as the current owner

Two owners would probably obtain a lower price, especially when such low mileage makes you wander what's up with the car

Timeshare, estate agents, car salesmen, politicians, etc,etc etc, their idea of ethics and morals is different to decent people

I will probably get banned for talking the true reality of the society we live in where enough is never enough

Of course if it is one owner, I will eat a very large piece of humble pie

It’s a bit unusual to go to the effort of having it tuned and then sell it at only 192 miles, and with two owners.

I wonder what the story is.

The reality is the car was bought through a confidential dealer who had access to the shortlist of available cars. I bought the car from them with zero miles but they had to be the registered keeper. Surely people who understand how restricted and limited car list come about understand this. The car has 192 miles and has the level of professional modifications because I am fortunate to able to do this and not worry about the poisonous minority who can’t ….

It’s had two owners.

Why modify it then not drive it?

As to suggesting that the people calling out the lies can’t afford a Yaris, do fk off.

I do get it. I see what people think. I do understand why people would question why someone would sell a car like this with the mods with such a low mileage. But sometimes people make impulsive decisions and then decide to sell. But if you are so diligent about the V5, you will see there is no finance on this car. And none on any of the others I own. So, champ, thanks for your comments but this one is genuine. I guess I thought when I went through Pistonheads, there would be genuine car people out there…..

If you click on my profile you’ll see which cars I currently run, so can see if I’m a “car guy” or not.

Now why not ask them to correct the dishonest description?

When purchasing a used car, it is important to remember that buyers are not just evaluating the vehicle itself; they are also assessing the seller. The attitude and behaviour of the seller play a significant role in the buying decision.

If a seller comes across as arrogant or deceitful, it can be an immediate deterrent, regardless of the car's condition or price.

Buyers seek transparency and honesty in their transactions. When a seller demonstrates these qualities, it builds trust and confidence. On the other hand, any sign of dishonesty or arrogance can lead to scepticism and ultimately, a lost sale or lower price.

Whatever sellers like it or not, as much as buyers are scrutinising the car, they are also forming opinions about the seller. Sellers who are courteous, transparent, and trustworthy are far more likely to succeed in selling their vehicles at a good price.

Noted. And you’re right. Things get said over texts or messages that wouldn’t be said face to face. Apologies

I bought the car with a view to enjoying a few track days or day trips out but another project came along. And with the difficulty in getting a new one from a dealer and the fact they stopped making them, I bought mine zero miles through a dealer that had already wanted to register it for their figures. Hence the V5. To me, it has only been owned by me hence the words but I’m not hiding anything hence the V5 photos. They even delivered it on a trailer so as not to put any miles on it

Out of interest, being a 2022 car, does it come with all the bings, bongs, lane departure, emergency braking nonsense that can't be turned off or can be, but every time you start the car.

Cheers.

ETA Sorry, just read the ad and it does say it has all this stuff. Can it be switched off though?

You have to switch it off each time but understand you can buy some 'black box' summik or another to permanently disable some of it. I just think of it as part of the start up sequence but yes it's a faff...

You have to switch it off each time but fortunately it’s just one long press of a physical button to do it. It becomes habit after a while, just like putting your seatbelt on.

It really makes me cross about some of the comments made on this site. The owner is genuine, you only need to check that. His explanation of the V5 situation is absolutely correct, and to chastise without haveing the courtesy to ask the question is frankly rude and discourteous. But, I suppose it’s the world we live in. If I was the owner of this car, however much some of you losers out there bid, I wouldn’t sell it to you! Good luck, and I hope this lovely car goes to a good home. I’d buy it in a heart beat, but it’s a month too soon for my next purchase.

Dear Seller & hope your well. I could not see how to message you directly so would it be at all possible to have your vehicle registration number so i can do an accurate valuation & history check. Kind regards. Kevin.

How does the auction platform work, you pay what you bid or are there extra fees?
