I note that an oil leak was detected as far back as 2009. Can you specify where the leak is from? Also, how many service stamps are in the book and how often has the engine oil been changed?

I live half an hour drive away. Are you OK if I came to view the car? I can provide my email or phone number.

Many thanks, Tom.

I am not aware of any leaks. Car has been sitting in a garage last two years apart from occasional outings with nothing dropped on the floor!
If you do want to view please provide phone and I will call to make an appointment.
I have posted photos of service book.

Good Morning,

My question also refers to the oil leak as my concern is that that this the 3 pence seal that requires the gearbox to be removed in order for it to be replaced and can lead to IMS Bearing failure and potential engine failure. Expensive to rectify! :-) Although the issue was reported a while ago, it may be that the low mileage has prevented catastrophic failure.

Has the IMS bearing been checked?

Much obliged for your reply.

Many Thanks

John

Hi, as mentioned above, has the IMS bearing been replaced with one of the recommended aftermarket solutions in order to avoid any risk of catastrophic failure? Also, you mention that you have posted the maintenance history but I don't see it in your photographs. Could you please clarify? Many thanks . . .

Several questions about the IMS bearing. As far as I know from the paperwork this has not been done and there are no visible leaks. Nick

Any rush to collect after the auction? Couple of weeks?

No particular rush to collect except to clear space in the garage. Two weeks would be ok. Nick

Good Morning,

Is the Tiptronic Gearbox performing as it should? e.g. No slippage, no nasty noises, no fluid leaks, works fully in tiptronic and manual modes without any issues?

Thankyou

John

Hi, before I decide whether to make a bid, are there any adverse issues that you should let a buyer know before buying your car so that consideration can be given to potential repairs that may arise, and that may impact on an offer? Many thanks, Tom . . .

Hi I had a question regarding the History of the car. The Service Book shows its a C98 car, rather than a C16. Also the delivering dealer shows as "ITS Barbados" was this a UK supplied car or is it an import?

I'm not at home to check I'm afraid but I remember the dealer I bought from said it was Northern Ireland originally. Certainly not Barbados!
