I've tried DM'ing you with regards to viewing the Lotus, but you haven't got your email set up. Can you send me a message on here please so I can get in touch.

I also tried to contact you through another listing (prior to the PistonHeads auction), but you haven't got back to me there either! tumbleweed

Hi, please can you confirm that the car has not suffered any accident damage in the past? There looks to be a slight mismatch in paint colour between the doors and front wings, although this may be the light. Also, in the documents I see a bill for an electrical issue, has this all been resolved? Are there any known issues with the car? Thank you

Hello, as per the description:

“• The paintwork is said to be in good overall condition; on closer inspection, there are a few minor stone chips to the front and some minor cracks appearing around a repair to a car parking accident which reportedly occurred in the early 2000’s”

The front clam was repainted after a small repair to the nearside front corner. This was due to the car being reversed into. I know this as a result of a chat with the original owner, who sought me out at a breakfast meeting at The Motorist last year - he’d parked his rather lovely Morgan next to me upon recognising the registration.

The images are of good quality and reflect the condition of the car fairly. It certainly isn’t a show car, this one is for driving!

There are no electrical issues, these were remedied long before I owned the car. I have photographed all of the available documentation.

Any further questions, I’m at your disposal.

Regards, James

Hello, I can confirm. Attached is screen-grabs from the HPI check (performed by V check)

Hi, there was a slight milage discrepancy in 2008 looking at the past mot history, do you have any info on this?
Do you have any old picture's of the damage from the accident before the repair?
Thanks.

Hi, the mileage discrepancy was 15 years before I owned the car. It appears to have been corrected immediately, so I inferred it was an error at the test centre. Please see attached image from the HPI check showing this.

I do not have any photos of the damage, again, I only known of the incident anecdotally from the original owner and he dated this in the early 2000s.

It was not something that put me off buying the car. I verified that the chassis was spot on. A minor mismatch in the front clam paint was immaterial in my overall enjoyment of the car.

Hi, I’m struggling to make out the extent of the osmosis from the images - can you supply any images to show the extent of it please?
Thanks

Hello. The photos are a good representation of condition and I have described the car conservatively on the basis that no winning bidder would feel the car did not meet their expectations on collection. The attached image shows the very worst of it on the inside of the drivers sill.
