That's my old car - I bought it new from Sytner in Sunningdale in 2008. Seems a long time ago now frown

Hi, I've always wondered who owned it before me, did you buy it from new?
It's been a great car but since retirement we need a car to tour and carry the dog which just stretched the carrying capacity of the 3 series too much. So I'm afraid it needs to go to a new owner.

Yep. Bought it brand new. Lovely car.

I had #185 a couple of years back and loved it, it was Barry's from BMR old car and as such was excellent mechanically. It wasn't my preferred colour combo though and I always said if an Alpina Blue one came up I'd find it difficult to pass up.

I was aware of one local to me in Sussex through various contacts, I'm guessing this is it? Typically it's not a good time for me to buy at the moment frown

Hi. Lovely car, any record of the high pressure fuel pump, water pump and / or the valve cover having been changed?

Any rust around the wheel arches and lips or sills. Any additional photos or video would be brill.

Thank you

Good morning, thanks for your message.
I've not changed any of those components and have no record of them being done by previous owners.
There's no rust showing in any of the areas you list but you will be aware that the the metal sills are covered on an Alpina.
I've arranged to put the car on a ramp tomorrow (Sat) afternoon and I'll try and get some decent photos of the areas you asked for. It should still give you about 18 hrs to bid if you're still interested.
Kind regards

Ps. Could you upload some more photos of recent work done on the car. Shame there’s no evidence of the high pressure fuel pump, injectors or water pump being done, definitely none there? 🙂

"...any record of the high pressure fuel pump, water pump and / or the valve cover having been changed?...."
As per my last reply, I have not changed them and have no record of them being changed previous to my ownership.
Hopefully the invoices for the injector change have uploaded.
The car won't be on the ramp till late this afternoon so the photos you've asked for will be uploaded later.
Your very welcome to come and view the car this weekend if you would like to.
Kind regards

I’ve got some boring practical questions:

What’s the road tax on this beast?

Do the rear seats fold down for extra boot storage?

Cheers

£325

Yes, as it's a coupé there's a 60-40 split.

Cheers

There is no rust visible on the rear arches and the front wings are composite. The photos are of the rear nearside arch except the bottom right which is offside.

Nice car and a decent sale price IMO. I was going to put my 44k mile example up for sale in the classifieds but now I'm thinking that one of the auction sites may be worth a shout.
