Recently purchased a Fieldmaster. Expectations have been surpassed. Steering not an issue, footwell not an issue. Went for a petrol. Engine is smooth and quiet. Averaging in the low 20's.
Car is full of charm and character and rides better than either of our Dicovery or Velar. Let's see what happens when / if the novelty wears off...

Looks great 👍
Is that low 20’s for mixed driving and better on a run?
Is that from the trip computer or calculated at the pump? Sounds like the petrol is not much worse than the deasil mpg wise
Many thanks

Low 20's mixed run and better on motorway / dual carriageway in 8th gear. I'm only using trip computer as the guide. I only do limited mileage and had a preference for the quietest engine choice (although note i've never driven a diesel variant). Petrol is now only approx 5p a litre cheaper compared to diesel around my area. Is that low 20’s for mixed driving and better on a run?

Ok that’s good to know. I would be interested in what it can do on a run sat at 60 and 70 mph. It it can crack 25-27 on a long run I reckon I would go petrol over the deasil!
Your have the off road tyres as well eh so the Bridgestone would help with mpg also. Not that it is a mega issue for me back have to factor everything in!
How you finding it in general? What have you come from to compare it to?
Many thanks
