Reservations open for those who rexpressed early interest ( £450) for the 'Land Rover which Land Rover should have built'.

Open reservations next week.

Looks good.

I am tempted, but no firm prices yet ( base price £40k suggested) which looks good value compared to the new Defender.

I spec'd one up but without an idea of price it is hard to get a sense of value.

But at the suggested start price of £40k it is less than the new Defender. and in my mind more in the LR tradition.

I saw something saying that base price is £40k plus vat for one with two seats - so a commercial and not that different from a 110 commercial (ignoring the restrictions on ordering one at the moment - I am not sure you can actually order base spec ones)

Financially they don't stack up too well against a new Defender. I guess if you're not starting from the point that you liked the old Defender you're highly unlikely to want a Grenadier.

I do like the old Defenders and Ineos have addressed all of the shortcomings that annoyed me. Aesthetically I'm not over keen on the front grill area but I can live with that.

That's a surprise- i can't get any sensibly specced new defender for less than £60k..

Stuck a deposit down. Looking forward to seeing final specs and prices. Quite like the look of it, especially in person and it looks to be a great family bus. Love the twin sunroofs
