Anybody been to ELMS at Spa?

More to the point, anybody camped at ELMS Spa? Wondered where it was located as the circuit have been pretty unhelpful

ELMS > WEC (controversial)

From memory, the camping is normally off the N62 (Route de Circuit), 'Yellow Camping':

Thanks. That's where I'd figured it would be. Eldest daughter works for AO by TF and feel the need to go to a race

Apologies for the hijack, anyone got any accommodation recommendations?

Cheap, but comfortable would be ideal.

Tent & a decent airbed?

Otherwise, there's plenty of options here - https://www.spa-francorchamps.be/en/accommodation

All sorted and all booked.

I see there's free gridwalk and paddock access for 'Premium' tickets. Any idea where you get the wristbands from once you are there?

Last time I went it was 2022 and we were still under Covid restrictions. Free entry though! But very limited on where you could access.

Any news on the lollipop man who got severely clattered by #34?

Daughter says he was basically OK, perhaps OGR could confirm? (She was mech on winning AO by TF LMP2 car).

1.1s between P1 & P2 after 4hrs hard racing, really exciting race.

That's nothing! I could have played pool with Robert Kubica and Louis Delatraz in the hotel bar the night before! rofl

Glad the chap is OK, that was a hell of a bang to take the rear wing off.

Part of me suspects it may not have been on properly, there's no way clattering a person should knock the rear clip off. Looks like he simply forgot they had a double stop going on & having done his lollipop duties he simply walked in front of the second car as it was released

That is probably correct, but the wing was definitely fixed correctly, he was thrown up in the air and landed heavily on it. Not pleasant to watch.

Hi all the guy was fine ..

Indeed it was a double stack and he moved when he shouldn’t have - annoying but it happens

The angle the rear of the sat caught him ripped the rear off very very annoyingly so we had to pit again . Car has gone from 9th to leaving pits 3rd in first stint … so chance of winning pretty well gone there …

Team did v well from then on and could have nicked 3rd on last lap ..

Thanks for the update.

Looks like LMP2 Pro is going to go down to the wire.
