Congratulations to Dan Mennell, was just a matter of time.
Mennell produces a Riponian Stages BHRC masterpiece - https://preview.mailerlite.io/emails/webview/34782...

There was a tough battle going on behind him too.
A BDG Doing what it does best biglaugh And despite that 2nd fastest there, beaten by 6secs !

I thought he won a round last year? Maybe not, a few retirements and one or two missing entries, but it will pick up later in year pre RAC.

EWRC have him highest finish 3rd Historic on Trackrod.
There were one or two revelations/rumours in the stage end interviews from Matt & Becs for the RAC, from the horses mouth almost was more than one TR 8 from DAE; one being Mark Higgins, two Stratos's /Strati and a Sunbeam from a regular BRC entrant.
Other regulars returning occasionally to Historic rounds.

biggrin
Thought similar, must be a year since and only Baz Jordan has added to the class. Suspect very few remain and parts are like Hens teeth, especially transmissions which proved to be a weak link IIRC?
Just remembered Christina Robinson has a Legacy but appears to prefer a Puggy 208.

I was thinking current entries Chris but yes, hardly a replacement for Ethel at the time. Ex Simon Redhead, Banner & D.O. discovered it still had the road car max top speed limiter on the roller coaster in Wythop.
Adam & Roy happy with the weekend ? Imagine they are, joint leaders BHRC.

Be great to get some more variety on the RAC, I was expecting TR's, and Higgy, seems like Stouff has either bought the Meeke car or got one exactly the same!!

Strange not to see Chilman, but he was in NZ I think, and also no Perez maybe saving up for RAC!! But as I say a few of the guys who are quick will start doing rounds later in the year as shakedowns. I do hope Marty is there too, I know work was silly as I gather

Rudi Lancaster ! They mentioned he will be picking events.
As I said there was a suggestion of 2 Stratos's but no idea how firm that is, the RAC has been mentioned in interviews by various drivers on a few events over the last few months. Crews ticking off the bucket list probably.

Banner in a Galant was my suggestion of history repeating itself, for the sake growing class runners today. I wasn't serious...

Yes, obviously Adam & Roy still the right way up at the end of the rally is a good thing. Roy says it's all about overall positions, they're not bothered about maximum class points.

The second Stratos for the Roger Albert must be Phil Kadoorie's, surely?

"History repeating itself" Is the very thing I thought when they announced the changes, thankfully it appears availability will prevent a reoccurrence and well driven 2WD's will continue; there's some cracking footage from the weekend.

"Right way up" biglaugh Now, now. When a 1600 is achieving results they do I reckon an off or two is inevitable, it's such a shame when it happens it's such a huge set back.

On the classic safari Kadoorie said he liked endurance events, immediate thought was this years RAC and another Stratos? We'll have to see, this suggestion by Matt & Becs seemed to imply it would be team Perez ! They might've been joshing OR I may have interpreted it wrongly (Highly likely) Can't imagine running two in the same team !

I'd be surprised. They must cost at least 5 times as much as any other group 4 car. Maybe more?
The ID of Phil Kadoorie's car is an original University Motors car, so the 6 into 1 exhaust is apt.
CF and works cars were one outlet per bank.
