Interesting, thanks for posting. Couldn't find a link to the course routes - I aren't too far away and would be good to go and watch.

I think the spectator info will be on the site nearer the date, as with Riponian Rally.

If you click on the marshal thing you can see what the stages are but it doesn't detail the routes. Hopefully more info will be forthcoming, wouldn't mind catch a couple of stages then back to Bev for the finish.

150 entries. Clearly tarmac is the way forward.

Extended the maximum to 150 so everyone got a run but now have 3 places available, still a healthy entry.

Jonny Milner at 12?

It's his local event, a former British Champ, a WRC car that's got to be as fast as a WRC2 car. I'm tipping him for the win, unless the Toyota breaks down.

He is ring rusty and that is a 25 year old car now, with guys like Henderson up front I can see him getting top 5 maybe, but not winning, he hardly rallies much does he at this level in cars Ike that?

Henderson is national standards, Milner was international standard. WRC Toyota plenty fast enough.

Would be nice to see Milner up there , and maybe on the podium , but his car isn't a match for the R5s , the newer ones even more so . He's said they were pulling away from him of the recent McRae stages too .

I did not know he had done much recent rallying, depends on knowledge I guess he knows the forests up there and I gather one of his kids rallies or compete in something, so praps encouraged him out. A modern R5 is a decent bit of kit and perhaps easier to drive. But depends on the peddler. Bird is no mug but little dirt experience I think.

Don't know anything about the driver but certainly over here, the newest R5's are as fast as WRC cars of 2016 and older on tar.

Can't remember the last time a WRC car (excluding the current gen and the one before that) has beaten a R5!

Ex BR Championship Winner in a Celica IIRC?
Edit - no I don't, it was a Corolla. He used a Celica earlier.

Oops had no idea it was asphalt, in which case guys like Bird are routine winners on the hard stuff, and Milner might have a bit of knowledge of roads but nothing like would give you an advantage in forests surely?

He lives about 10 miles from the stages being used. I suspect he may have gone for the odd Sunday ride out in the area. Pure coincidence of course.
