For me the best drives were Pajari and Rossel in WRC2.

The way Rossel in particular clawed his way back to 2nd after losing time with a puncture was seriously impressive. He's really stepped it up a gear this year showing pace on gravel I didn't think he had in him.

Crikey, the sport is struggling if the dedicated thread of an international car site cannot muster a single post on one of the most sensational rally finishes in recent memory...

Oh well, I was pleased anyway wink Something of a payback for Poland 2016 and Sardinia 2019...
Guilty as charged, I’d consider myself a Rally fan and have no idea what you are even talking about frown

There is nothing to get excited about, it's such a thin field.

In some ways it gets the response it deserves.....Very little. Its similar on Autosport, Ten Tenths, etc

A small field in the top class, coverage behind a paywall, etc
People can't be bothered - and there were other top class motorsport this weekend; N24, MXGP, MotoGP, IMSA, Erzbergroedeo Hard Enduro some which were free to watch.

how many people do we think subscribe to wrc.com and get the content?

Is 50,000 globally a reasonable number to assume? @ £12.99 pm = £649500 per month, or £7.7m per annum.
I suspect in the round, that this is a fat chunk of money to the WRC promotors. It's not quite F1 levels of revenue, but then its not quite F1.

£7.7M for a global series is peanuts, isn't it? Which is why we see events with the most money getting into the WRC - Saudi getting a 10 year contract, having not held a previous round......

I subscribe to WRC+, but as much for ERC as WRC the last year or two.

WRC has got a bit stale, sure the cars are fast and spectacular but there are only a handful of them, and mostly the same old events with mostly the same stages they used the year before repeated twice each day.

Sami Pajari in a Yaris for Latvia, joining Sesks in the Puma. Good to see some of the young guys getting opportunities

Being Finnish still has its advantages in the WRC.......

To finish first, first you have to be Finnish...

I can't complain with either of those two getting a go though. Pajari is clearly very talented, and Sesks has shown good pace in the ERC and seems is a good character from what I have seen.

I'd quite like to see what Rossel or Gryazin could do, but Citroen is potentially a bit of a dead end when looking for a step up. I didn't think Rossel had the gravel pace that he's shown this year, so he's impressed me.

Enjoyed watching ERC Scandinavia over the weekend. Great roads, close competition and good action!

Gutting for Paddon getting a puncture on the powerstage, second time this season that's happened to him while sitting in 2nd place.

Ogier out and Kalle in for Poland after a recce crash. Not the best start to the event for Toyota

Hats off to the FiA in allowing Kalle to enter, and allow a delayed recce, outside of the recce time period. I wonder if they'd be so agreeable if there were 15-20 top class cars, and not single figures.

However, they've done something good for once.

Unlucky for Tanak, hit a deer that jumped onto the road while flat out in top gear!

SS3 in Poland stopped after a handful of cars, for "Safety Reasons".

I suppose the underlying issue might be spectator control, which isn't a surprise.

Super frustrating when the event is so well supported but a few idiots ruin the stages for everyone else.
