Talking about the Argyll - anyone going?
Nope - I'll be "watching" from home - nice mixed weather forecast again, it'll favour the brave.

Any of the top 4 could win this (Black / Wright / Henderson / Roskell) and like most closed-road events, the margins will be tight. A good tyre choice on the long Otter Ferry stage, in the dark, could swing it.
Very, very wet on Friday - just the road sections were a challenge in places.

It was a shame we lost the long one - reasons, not for discussion on here, contributed to that unfortunately.

When it dried up on Saturday it was much better and again, a great event.

Looking forward to Mull again, and yes, I've had to change plans. But I have been aware of the changes for quite some time.

Snijers was in a 4wd 3 cylinder Fiesta finished about 30th, I think running BRC rules maybe also hindered entries, there did not seem many Brits making the trip.

The BRC needs to knock going to Ypres on the head; too expensive to go over, that's why hardly any were entered. Saying that, Chris Ingram got a decent result.....

Thanks for the reply....shows you how zoned out I must have been, never even spotted him! Was expecting him to be in a 911 if I'm honest.

Was quite excited when it was announced it was part of the British RC as I was there in 2017 when Keith Cronin was there and was expecting a big up take, but it was not to be sadly. Back in the day British entrants used to get free ferry travel, fuel accommodation and the like...I take it it's not like that now?

Totally different event now, a shadow of its former self.....I need to look at other Belgian rallies to get my fix now I think!

Chuffed for Ingram, he looked very assured and quick!

Watching the NG coverage, and has anybody been to Llyn Login before? I've been to Crychan, Halfway and Route 60, but that is a new one to me.

Of all the rallies I would say Mull is the one that has changed the least, even with the revised timings it is still an event like no other in the UK

Some of the crews are the same folk, many are the offspring of previous Mull competitors, the roads are identical save for a few metres of realignment, given the proliferation of Escorts, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the cars also competed in the 80s. At least now the roads are closed. There's nothing stopping people competing in a flat front RS2000 with a pair of Lucas 20-20s and road tyres....

Have seen the Q&A the organisers of the Mull Rally have put out; open and transparent - outlining their reasons. Good to see - one of the reasons the event is a success.

Yes - outstanding by them - I hope more people now realise the effort these volunteers put into making the event a success. I was quite surprised to read they made a loss last year, the cost of everything is just escalating!

WRC Estonia this weekend......

Home favourite Tänak has already suffered a blow, with engine problems on shakedown leading to a 5 min penalty.

Is it me or do the WRC2 drivers have much more personality than most of the Rally 1 drivers?
Watching Dirtfish do their start line interviews and Tanak, Neuville and Rovenpera are all very unentertaining! One of the many respects in which Breen is sorely missed…
