RIP DMN. He was a fantastic forum member, and I always appreciated his posts.

There are two key takeaways from this for me:

1. Always try and be as good as possible to people.
2. Life is short, so try to stop worrying about things which don't matter.

Five years....seems so much more recent. What an extraordinary, generous, decent man he was.

I didnt even know he’d passed frown

His thread on Lilly will never leave me, what a guy.

he had some lovely things to say about myself back in 2012 & such a great way of putting things.

RIP Russel, i hope you have found Lilly.

As others have said, he was an extraordinary writer. After everything he went through with his Lily, it was a horrible, cruel twist of fate that he died when life was looking up again.

I didn't know Russ personally, but I enjoyed his posts immensely.

The memories came up on FB recently and the tag #BeMoreRuss remains as relevant as it was 5 years ago. If I’m ever thinking how stressed I feel and negative to a situation or person/people, a few moments reflecting on Russ puts it in perspective.

Somehow I doubt that his name will ever not be spoken.

He, and his Good Lady often pop into my head as a sort of touchstone to reality and humanity. His wisdom would be gratefully appreciated now as ever.

I remember his thread about his wife very well. So sad and yet uplifting at the same time.
