Disclaimer, I know nothing about Dacias and this is second-hand information from my 80 year old mother.
6 months ago she got a 19 plate Sandero and has been problem free until today. On her shopping trip, a warning light came on the dash, coloured amber and she says from the owners manual in section 1.50 it looks like a heart monitor icon (pulsing). All it tells you is to stop immediately and take to the dealers. Well she didn't dare move so she called out the RAC who attended, checked the whole car and admitted that he had never seen that warning light before. He then advised her to book it into a garage and went on his way.
She spoke to the local Dacia dealership who said it would be a month before they can even look at her car. This seems ridiculous to me, she is housebound without a vehicle. So I'm presuming that the car is fine to drive in the meantime as she explained exactly what had happened. Does anyone on here have a clue what that particular warning light means?
I'm a fair distance away, I just arrived home from work and thought I would ask here. I will speak to the dealership myself in the morning as sounds like they fobbed her off. Its still under a 12 month warranty.

I did have a quick look at that but its nowhere near due a service. I'm presuming then that they forgot to reset this when selling it to her only 6 months back after it had a service. Bloody typical dealers. She only does about 4k a year.

More worrying is the RAC tech didn't know what a service light is.

True, although why the hell the manual doesn't simply tell you this is even worse!

It’s a service light

You say it’s 6 months since the last service? How many miles has it covered?

About 2k, she uses it to potter around her village and go shopping in. Going to ring the dealer anyway in the morning, I'm a bit cheesed that they didn't just explain this to her rather than tell her it'd be a month and a £120 diagnostic fee. Morons.

Sorry, I meant how many miles in total? They have schedules for different times/miles

Sorry, misread, I'm knackered after a long day... 14k in total now.
