Following this thread - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... - and me being more than a bit cold on Taycan prices....and following Blue62's advice:
GTS Sport Turismo. Optioned up pretty much as per when I ordered a new one (cancelled that in Jan '23 due to the indeterminate wait and other issues...amongst them Cherry no longer being available). Has a few bits I didn't have on the list (HUD, passenger screen, acoustic glass) and it doesn't have the coloured GTS interior (stitching, belts and carbon) that I would have preferred...but my god it's a great car
I still stand by my view that prices are going to keep softening and I still risk taking a bath. If I'd listened to my head I wouldn't be posting this until Q1 or Q2 next year...but did I mention these cars are very good?!
The colour isn't to everyone's taste. But I've wanted a car in a similar colour for years, and my first sight of a GTS ST was in this colour in a dealer's showroom. It's incredible, and changes a lot depending on the light, taking on a bright, almost orangey hue in direct sun.
Porsche being Porsche, and me being me, I already have a list of irritations (all software related). But they really don't matter. These are simply incredible cars

...so my advice would be to not deny yourself for too much longer Murph, life’s too short. I’d also put all the EV naysayers and haters on silent, they haven’t a clue, this is another level of motoring, I love it.

Looks lovely, hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine, brilliant daily. I've had very few issues with mine and think I've been lucky, the last update has increased range slightly and haven't experienced a single software problem since, if your car hasn't had the brake adjustment I would highly recommend it. Enjoy!
Honestly, I applaud you, way too many people want Porsches that in reality they can't afford, and let me explain that.
If you cannot stomach traditional c50% 3 year depreciation on an asset now that times are normalising, then you can't afford it, because those that can do, and those that can't spout nonsense about 'opportunity costs' elsewhere that they will never ever execute against.
Enjoy the car fella.

I think you might have just bought my car, took me ages to sell it through a dealer in Congleton. What did you end up paying for it in the end, if you don’t mind me asking? Never do know if the dealers play it straight with you. Blue62 said:

You’ve got a great car there, the only reason I sold it was because I’ve moved abroad. The colour is incredible in my opinion, enjoy it!

That's lovely. (at least for a few hours until it gets rained on Never again for me on black cars).
Fab machine.
Spec?
It’s rained all ready !! 🤣Fab machine.

Somehow I am just going to have to live with it being dirty, it replaces a grey turbo (and rarely looked dirty!) which I loved every minute of owning for 34k miles and 2 years but just fancied a change / life too short.
I got shafted on residues and I’m going to get shafted on this one too … I’m a realist.
I just couldn’t think of a better daily for kids and dogs !
It’s a brand new turbo ‘S’
