Kia EV9 is 7 seats and out this year. Similar range to the EX90.

We've had two XC90s. Will be ready to replace in the next 12-18mths, but the chances of me buying an EX90 are very slim.

EV9 is a definite option. Otherwise it'll be a plug in hybrid XC90. After which I doubt we'll need another 7 seater.
The EV9 doesn't have Air suspension, so it's a complete a non-starter for me.
Agree with that, love air suspension. Finally thought, how about a six seat 110 Defender?

Last time I suggested that someone should test drive something I was called a troll but I would give the EV9 a go before dismissing it. It rides very well. It’s not an exciting car in any way of course but very well equipped with lots of space.

The Macan EV, though. I just read that they have new motors that Porsche says are much more efficient (in-house developed vs I believe OEM in the Taycan) and a bunch of other improvements. They seem to have gone back on some of the Tesla-ish screen focus of the Taycan to a bit more traditional interior. It looks very nice to my eyes anyhow.

Suppose the million dollar question is, would people spend their hard earned cash on one? (Not totally sure in my case!) although I do agree it’s a nice looking machine and seems to get glowing reviews so far anyway. It may even be the unicorn - a “fun” EV wink

Had a chat with my OPC today about these. Demand is pretty strong apparently. They have around 50 deposits and further 150+ interested customers, depending on price, spec, etc.

ICE Macan will be built into 2025, so if the EV is not to your liking plenty of time to get orders in for one of those!

Took delivery of a new Macan GTS last June fully loaded thinking it was one of the last build slots before it went all electric. Did the same and got a new GT4 last year before they ceased production. They are both stunning cars and residuals should be very strong. I will try and get another build slot for a petrol Macan GTS for end of 24 / early 25 before they cease petrol production for good. Build slots for GTS versions are very very hard to get

With a Porsche card it works out around 71p. 31p for the electric and 40p per minute standing charge.

Looks quite smart but that’s a rotten colour in my eyes anyway!

I have a major dislike of these “lifestyle” coupe style SUV’s. To me an SUV is a tool for lugging my dogs/grandkids/crap to the dump and doing a little towing with. The cut away rear leaves me short changed on internal space which would I suspect be deeply frustrating as an ownership proposition.

Is it only me or do other people think those headlights look like 1980s/1990s Halfords after market add ons!

I'm not sold on the looks, especially the rear.

The loss of space in the boot will be made up for by the extra space in the frunk?!

I like the car, but that’s a properly iffy colour.

I doubt we will see a proper, useable, SUV shape on these though, all about the drag.

I like it however the colour is a little to be desired. Would look great in white or red.
