Vs. Bought. Used. Wanted to move it on and simply Sold it at market rates.

Fine line for I am sure, however should be easy enough to view on a case by case basis…
A simplistic way to look at it is if you'd like another one it goes back for sale via the supplying dealer at a number the supplying dealer is offering (or any other OPC for that matter if they are willing to give you a slot).

That appears to be the game if you wish to play.

If you no longer wish to play and you've been lucky enough to get an allocation you get to sell at market rates and whatever the over is on your final sale is your "parachute" goodbye lump sum, as you're not getting another.

I actually have no issue with this as long as it's transparent, it's capitalism in a very basic form. It's the underhand nonsense I find distasteful.

Looks cleaner without the roof bars, I'm glad I didn't go for them.

Really enjoying all these real world images people.

Still 6 weeks till mines due if it remains on target.

Has anyone had the official Porsche Dashcam installed? I'm thinking of asking the dealer to this on mine before delivery, it's daft money but I understand there could be warranty issues if anyone other than Porsche hardwire a camera into the car?

My 4S CT was painted last week and is making it's way into assembly.

Delivery now expected towards the end of Feb.

If they have all the parts .. mine was “finished “ on 24th Dec but still at the plant
It is what it is, there's no point getting stressed about it.

Bit of first world problem really.

I enquired with The Hatchbag Company a while back and they said they didn't make them, however they've probably had a few enquiries and I got the following email last week, As my car's not here and I'm in Kent I'll not be taking up their offer.

Maybe another forum member may use this opportunity?

Dear Sir/Madam

Many thanks for your interest in our product.

I understand you have the Porsche Taycan Tourismo 2021 on model and are looking for a bootliner for your car.

Unfortunately we currently do not have a bootliner that suits your vehicle but it is on our priority list to create a pattern for.

In order to create a pattern for this vehicle, we require access to a car.

If you are willing to help us by bringing your car to our office and have it scanned, we would offer you a FREE bootliner in return. Below is an explanation of the procedure, location and offer for your consideration.

• PROCEDURE
Just to confirm, the process is a 3 step process

1. PHOTOS
Could you please send us photos of your boot to ensure that your car specification matches the details found during our research.
We will not be able to make this offer without them.
I have attached a pdf guide to outline which pictures we require.

2. SCAN
The first trip is for patterning where we use the latest in 3D design technology to create a truly unique Boot Liner that you can only find at Hatchbag!
We would need your car for approx. 2 ½ - 3 hours to scan your vehicle on this first visit.
The Boot Liner pattern is reverse engineered from the scan, normally this process takes 2 weeks, and will be scheduled into our diary. Depending upon how busy we are it may take 4-6 weeks before we are ready for the 2nd stage.

3. FITTING
The second trip is the fitting - We design, refine and manufacture our liner then we fit it in your vehicle and ensure the fit is perfect.
Once we have created this prototype we would cut the Boot Liner ( and any of the optional extras you should wish to purchase) and arrange for you to return with the car.
This visit normally takes about 2 – 2 ½ hrs – during which time we would fit / photo and normally sign off the prototype. 9.5/10 of our patterns fit first time , so you would be able to leave with your order. Should this not be the case we would arrange for the modified/approved liner to be shipped out to you should you not wish to return a 3rd time.

Please feel free to contact and discuss the process further

• LOCATION

Unit 1, Turbine Park, Turbine Road, Birkenhead, CH41 9HP

• COST
We offer you a FREE Bootliner ( with all options) + Tailgate cover at no charge in return for the 2 visits / time you spend with us. We would charge you only for any mats you may wish to purchase.

• INTERESTED ? Next step is to contact us, don’t forget to attach your photos.

Should you NOT wish to partake just let us know.
Would you like to be informed when we do have a boot liner available?

Sounds like they get a lot and you not so much.
2 trips to Birkenhead.

Second prize is 3 trips.
I figured if someone was close by and had a CT it was a free custom boot liner for a bit of your time. Looks like a reasonable exchange to me.

I'm in Kent, so it makes no sense for me to do this, if they were local though I'd be happy to take up the offer.

What were you expecting? Royalties or something?

My car arrived at the port and is now waiting for a ship. A little bit ahead of the revised schedule.

Looking forward to it arriving now.

I ordered the rear steer simply for parking, anything else is a bonus.

I'd be a bit miffed at getting a car that's sat for 5 months and is now effectively new old stock. The least they could have done is run a software update on it.

Do you know why is was delayed for so long ?
No idea, maybe ask the owner if he's aware. Mine went into build earlier this month and is now sat at the port in Germany.

I find it really strange that a car has been delayed 5 months and took this long to deliver. An obscure part or option that was on backorder maybe?

Had the dreaded electrical fault yellow warning this morning. I did the power down, leave for 20 minutes and restart hack and the fault was gone.

I haven’t driven it much over the last few weeks, and the small battery was showing 13.4v. Ironically, I was only taking it out to top up the battery.
I have read (although I don't remember where - I think it may have been the Taycan forum) that these cars need to be left connected to power if they are going to be sitting for more than 10-14 days.

For anyone who’s car was delayed - I get an email saying “no news “ every week when I chase - surely Porsche must be able to give some estimate on when the car will be ready to ship ( it has been built since 24/12) ?

I had an email on the 19th saying my car was at the dock in Germany waiting for a ship. Should have eye's on it in 7-10 days.

Nothing since.

These just arrived on my my phone by text message. So at least I know my car is now in Tonbridge and it won't be long until collection.

Looking forward to seeing it in person now.

Looks rather spiffing in that colour scheme. Kudos for sticking with the 21" wheels too. thumbup
Yeah the wheels were simply not going to be compromised. It rode so well on the 21" wheels the reduction in range was simply something I was willing to sacrifice. They just look so much better than any of the other options.

Classy combo - almost the classic brit racing green+cream.
The interior is full leather chalk or the club olea black/beige option?
I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh, it's one of those colours that comes alive in the sun but is still a nice green on an overcast day.

Interior is Black/Chalk Beige full leather. In reality I think it's quite close to cream.

I would have prefered something a little darker like Saddle Leather or Tan but this was the best option with the exterior colour. The truffle brown was a little too dark for my liking.

I'll get some better photographs when I collect it.

Collection day today. At the end of the day.

I just looked at the date of my first post here, the day I ordered - 22nd May - Collecting 5th February.

Realistically that's within a month of what was forecast when I placed my order considering I added PTS which slowed it down a little.

The colour suits the Taycan.
This^

I really like colours in general and I try and pick something I like that's unusual that I think will suit that car.

My last car was orange, but with Porsche colours I had a nice choice and I thought the mamba green suited the CT but it was just a bit too bold - it looks better on smaller cars. That put me on the green idea.

I was tempted by some of the purples, but they were so dark on overcast days that they appeared almost black.
