£105,000 as tested yikes

I bought an Alpine and at the time, I presumed they were similar in price.

Depending on how long ago you bought your Alpine, they most probably were. Lotus have since put the prices up............. quite a bit

Buy a used one and what a bargain you have got. Good review.

A new V6 manual spec’d similarly to a first edition would be over £110k with first year VED

Also the at cost options are cheaper on the Turbo SE than they are on the V6. I was with a main Lotus dealer yesterday that hadn’t noticed, for example….Tan leather and Diamond cut alloys would be around £550 on Turbo SE and over £3000 on the V6.

Saw that. My FE was £70k in December on 0% finance (don't forget that). Residuals should be good now!

Told my wife who said "Great, sell it and make some money." hehe

0-100 in 10.9 in todays world is dreadful.Noble were doing that in 8 seconds in 2004.
That said, the Emira I drove felt suitably strangled to believe it,it desperately needs more power. If I do take the plunge,I’ll be raiding the komotec catalogue straight away

It’s typical of PH that a thread with some positivity about the Emira attracts little attention whilst the ‘values’ thread has the usual suspects piling in with criticism.

Of course the car, or more particularly Lotus, are not without fault and the company deserves a bit of a kicking for a botched launch etc.

But I went to Spa for the WEC race last weekend and the Emira was brilliant , quiet, comfortable and economical on the motorway/autoroute (40mpg), and on the cross country route through the Ardennes Forest with lots of switchbacks - it was simply sensational.

Short video below of what we experienced as we cut through north eastern Belgium, we had three hours of this - with the exhaust valves open it sounded fantastic, but my mic couldn’t quite handle the volume smile

A gratuitous pic of the V6 on the car park overlooking the circuit as well.

I don’t believe there is a better sounding sports car this side of a Lamborghini. And I think you have to spend McL LT money to get a better looking car.

Please keep the negativity off this thread and leave it in the value thread, it gets very boring very quickly (yes, mine is booked in under warranty for the bubbling paint on the doors. Was I thinking about that as I was blasting through the Ardennes? Absolutely not)

Lots of threads are full of negativity, social media seems to be getting worse. It says a lot that people on here are more interested in residuals than anything else.

Anyway, trip looks great (saw you post on the FB group)

Agree with all that. I bought an i4 before Xmas and am having a blast with the thing.
