Someone on one of the FB groups noticed this page has been updated.
There are 66 new cars that will be ready between 2-8 weeks time to pre-order. It looks like some have already been assigned to specific dealers, and others not. All the specs however are available.

It's great they're still churning out cars, but I have to wonder who is going to buy these cars? The market seems fairly saturated, evidenced by the number of cars at dealers with not much more than delivery mileage with huge discounts that have sat there for months. Who in their right mind will pay RRP for one of these?

Many of those have been for sale on the website for some time, my actual cancelled one is on there from around a year ago! They are just not advertising them on the usual platforms, autotrader etc. Only reason they may sell some over used is the 0% finance.

Been like that for months now....It's not accurate try ordering one & asking for a specific timeframe......! Do not hold your breath waiting for an answer...also many of those dealers do not even have the car either & can give you no further info on when or indeed if they will ever have it!

Oh dear. Could Lotus even organise a p1ss up in a brewery? It's such a mess if they can't even get a grip with what's happening with their own supply of cars.

Won't pumping more cars onto the market further bugger the values of those already hanging about looking for buyers?

Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words......and some of these look to be LHD as US emission approval caused a massive backlog it was taken a few months ago at Hethel & US are only just getting i4s now.....I think Lotus are holding a lot of stock but the lack of clear information is shocking if your willing to drop £89-92K on one you would at least expect a firm delivery date.....my personal theory & its only a theory I must stress is you express an interest in one & they convert a LHD to RHD for you hence the lack of firm delivery date...that seems to be an educated logical guess on my part but struggling to think how else can the maker not know the status of the car onsite & when its due! Then you end up (like I did & many others did !!) going to one of the UK sources for these cars & its pot luck what you get! Still great cars just have your eyes wide open do your research then hope for the best!

Not really as £89-92K new vs £60-70K used nearly new is a big difference. Also the reality is Lotus might advertise these cars but clearly they are not ready to go at all as no-one can give you a firm delivery date then they try to talk you into another spec Emira.....! which just happens to be ready to go (cancelled preorder clearly or US spec Emira converted to RHD - hence no timescale as they do not know how long it takes to do these if parts are not ready).

Same as me then....could not give me a firm date on my £87K factory order......I ended up with an ex Lotus Cars employee Auto 100 one instead......the actual Emira is fine apart from being the wrong chassis for my old mans body....but lack of 2nd keyfob & no V5C issues have given me a world of hurt & hassle I never ever expected for such basic point of sale items.....! buyer beware you pays your money takes your choices hopes the roll of the dice is in your favour............

Mine was the amount I wanted pay against the amount they wanted…access to a Lotus computer screen stated they’d had the vehicle for 438 days since its build date. I offered what I was comfortable with considering I was making a compromise on the car I ordered and it had been sat around so long.

That's totally ridiculous & their loss bet it ended up being heavily discounted by you know who................!

For me the spec I wanted they could not confirm if I went ahead if it was already built, could not confirm when I would get it, could not confirm where the car was right now! Which I took an educated guess as it was either a LHD overspill sitting at Hethel waiting to be converted to RHD spec or they did not know where it was but it was somewhere...how any car maker can not even know where their existing stock is in itself is mind blowing......I certainly did not feel comfortable putting the required £20-25K deposit down & financing the rest for something the maker was unsure about.
