8 months and 3000 miles here. The car is as stunning as it was when I bought it and gets many, many comments and admiring glances. It is a brilliant car to drive but it hasn't been without faults, sadly.

Issues so far:-

Lots of paintwork blemishes on collection (caused by bird s**t and the dealer's poor attempts at correcting them), sorted by a very good detailer who also ceramic coated it.
Washer hose wasn't connected from the start, visit back to the dealer to get it sorted.
One instance of the handbrake sticking on (resolved by turning off and on again)
One instance of non starting (only two days ago at a petrol station, resolved by locking and waiting 5 minutes)
Cabin rattles, one that seems to have gone away and another from the dash surround that only appears after a good drive.
Oh and aircon that has stopped working again and is awaiting a fix.

Quite a long list when you consider I also have a 7 year old GT86 that I've had from 3 months old that has been virtually faultless for 7 years. (The only fault in 7 years being an engine warning light caused by low battery after leaving it undriven for 3 weeks after getting the Emira, I think it was just upset as it thought it was being replaced, I've kept it now and it's much happier!)

Oh and pet hate (not fault related), why oh why have they located the electronic handbrake low down on the right hand side, surely you put it somewhere near the gear stick, so you can just put the car into neutral and apply the handbrake? Nope make it that you have to put it in neautral then change hands and lean forward to apply the handbrake, madness!

Mine has just had its second service @ 12,500 miles. No issues to report apart from drivers heated seat failed so Lotus replaced both drivers and passenger seats (they didn't want to faff around chasing down the wiring fault inside the seat and at my mileage they were worried if they just replaced the driver seat it wouldn't match the passenger one) Top service as always. No paint bubbling and mine is out in all weathers (tempts fate). Minor engine cover rattle in engine bay cured at service and other than that she is good as gold. Not sure what the handbrake issue is - certainly nothing has niggled me about the handbrake on mine and unlike some of these auto handbrake manual gearbox combos it works perfectly every time.

Have just put some Pirelli Sottozero Winters on (went through last Winter on Sports Suspension / Cup2 combo which was 'interesting' at times). The Pirellis make it rock solid on the motorway even in some of this biblical rain we have been having. Randomly they were exactly the same size front and rear as my old 911 (991.12S) which was the previous daily so the tyres came off the Winter set of wheels/tyres that I kept when I sold the Pork - happy days!

What is mine worth now - 55/60ish? I would say if you can get one for around that then jump into one. Perfectly useable as a daily. Car gets SO much love on the road it is unreal.

That's a great update. I think they were a great buy new, sadly the economy etc has hit used values but that makes them an even better buy used. A low mileage car with warranty left for £60K, bargain!

Reported bubbles on doors and rear quarter June last year, no lead time on repair. Just want out now but unable to sell unfortunately.

That’s a real shame I’ve had a few exiges and evoras of different flavours. I never had a single Lotus paint issue in 7 years combined of lotus ownership across 4 cars. In fact some of the best paint I’ve ever had on a car.

Had an FE on order and was ready to be delivered in Jan 23 but backed out as I had a sneaking suspicion that they would tank and that quality would take a step back rather than forwards.

It’s so sad that the paint issues so prevalent on Emiras, as I am now back in market that they are approaching £50k (saving me ~£35k).

But the paint issue keep me (and probably lots of others) not wanting to touch them whilst they remain above £50k. I believe the yellow Hendy one sold for £53k today after close to a year on the market.

What a cluster of fecks their paint dept has become :-(

What do you mean no lead time on repair? Not even an estimate?

I've also heard Lotus don't give out courtesy cars when they have your car. Is that true?

V6 FE Manual. Over 6000 miles, 21 months in.
Summary:
- Recall - Brake caliper bolt check
- Recall - Wiper motor replacement
- Recall - A-Pillar internal cover catches replaced
- Various software updates
- Warranty - New Battery
- Run & Maintain - Windscreen chip = screen replacement

Had a couple of dash yellow warnings, seem to relate to low battery voltage.

Just started car after 3 weeks in garage (not on charge) - started 1st time. Currently on trickle charge.
