Which PH'ers have placed a deposit on an Emira?
Discussion
I stuck a deposit on one via the Lotus site to get on the "Priority order" list. I might not order one but the initial release has peaked my interest enough to get at least this far. It's refundable so a no brainer.
As much as I'd like a Manual V6 one, a DCT Inline 4 cylinder sounds like a reasonable option to live with day-to-day. The launch color Blue is my favorite choice currently.

Ordered via website fully refundable small (relative to other manufacturers) deposit so no brainer to get ahead in the queue
Then see how it pans out when they get the car nearer to what its going to look like come launch in terms of the interior I think the seats are changing or at least going to be lowered, etc then make a more informed decision nearer the time....don't usually go blue on my cars but this does look good in blue and its what I'm thinking today.....ask me nearer the time and I'll no doubt change my mind

After 9 years with Porsche i'm turning to Hethel......
Not getting into OPC politics but there are many many reasons I've never bought any of my 4 Porsche's from one - two were from 911 Virgin (997 GTS & Cayman R) and 2 privately from first owners (GT4 and 981 Spyder). I've never enjoyed a single visit to an OPC, overpriced servicing costs, obnoxious & condescending staff, misplaced policies in new car placement etc etc so I can only hope Lotus will offer a breath of fresh air.
Deposit paid - if I can fit my 6ft4 frame inside the car I'm looking forward to 2022 and what will be my 1st brand new car!

Similar to ChrisABP I've become disillusioned with Porsche of late. I'd love a 718 Spyder to my spec, but just can't get one and the rest of the range leaves me a bit cold.
Put a deposit down via the website earlier today. Wanting a manual v6, so will be interesting to see how that is priced and what the car is on the road including options.
It's the first time in quite a while I've been excited by a new car launch and to my eyes it looks absolutely fantastic.

Put down a deposit today after a chat with the people at Hethel. I was told that this could only be done on-line and not at the dealer.
I'm reckoning on a price close to £75k for an AMG engined version in yellow with black pack, front sensors, alcantara interior and I'm sure a few other extras. I want a 'touring spec' car, not interested in track days so lets see what we get.

Deposit placed on the evening of the launch.
Spoke with Bell & Colvill the following morning and they supplied me with some further info.
Wanted auto and didn't want a 6spd torque converter so going AMG DCT. Should just be over £60k with a couple of options if required.
I believe it's the M139 engine from the current AMG A45 however there are two states of tune and presumably for £60k it wont be the A45S. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_M139_e...
Plus summer 2022 works better for me if I can get one then.
Looking at blue with yellow details or dark grey with red details. Both black alcantara interior and wheel. And both with bi-colour forged lightweght wheels.
Been a BMW fanboi for years but hate the current design philosophy including the new 2er. Would probably have gone Cayman/Boxster GTS or new M2 if it wasn't for the Emira.
I was hooked during the launch. First ever Lotus.
