Dropping fast. Soon to be starting with a 5, guess that's why Harry got out quick.

Can't imagine HM would care one jot about losing c£20k+ over c12k miles and a couple of years usage in his Emira.

Given the amount of eyes and potential buyers he provided Lotus with his coverage, I can’t imagine he didn’t get a favourable deal when he ordered his.

Also if you read anything about Harry, you’ll know he isn’t exactly one to let the pennies fall out his pockets without a thorough ten year business plan.

Spiritually Yorkshirian perhaps hehe

Yep - but if he'd held on to it he could end up losing much more than that... A very good time to exit in my view.

I remember when I had my 993, watching them gain price parity with 997, then 991. Does Emira go to parity with Exige soon? Seems it’s already more or less level with the last Evora already

Emira prices have been alongside Exiges for a while now, the FE editions or those 380 and up models.

Sold mine a few weeks ago for £62k privately think we both got an OK deal which is sort of the point. I think at about £60k they are a good buy if they suit you.

We need the customary ownership review smile

Did you change it for anything ? If so what ?

As a Lotus outsider these look amazing value at the prices quoted ... and if a value question how much further do they have to fall ?

The most expensive car to own always used to be a new one ...

Car was great, didn’t miss a beat, looks fabulous, just didn’t get on with manual gearbox so as soon as journey might have queues took different car. So just didn’t use it, 911 next. If suits your lifestyle for 60k it’s great. Ride and handling excellent, engine does feel a bit lazy, had 981 GTS which was amazing but gutless so can’t win really

I'm now at 8,000 miles and using it as a daily driver in all conditions.

Apart from an early wobble just after 1,000 mile running in (coolant leak, jubilee clip needed tightening) mine hasn't missed a beat. I regularly do a 400 mile trip to holiday home in France and it is equally practical and relatively economical for this type of thing as it is at putting a huge smile on your face on an early morning favourite road blat. Someone else mentioned this is Lotus's best ever road car - totally agree. I've done the Elise / Exige thing multiple times over the years and now too old for that but this is a perfect combination of Lotus magic and daily driver ability.

And I have never had SO much love for a car out on the road, having owned all sorts of prestige stuff over the years (fezza/pork etc) nothing even comes close - people ABSOLUTELY adore this car.

I saw a vid on YouTube - PetrolPed or something it was called, and he had a long term loan V6 manual from Hendy and said that every journey in it even just down to the shops was a special event - totally agree. He also had the i4 auto on a long term loan, his reviews on that were somewhat less than glowing.

Harry Metcalfe has replaced his with a McLaren 650, the emira just wasn’t being used - I guess not special enough in his eclectic fleet.

Just watched Harry's video and looked at the new prices of the Emira, did the £60k car ever appear?

The production delays with the 2.0 meant the first cars only started to appear at least two years after the launch, by which time we’d gone through crazy post Covid inflation, parts issues, and consequently several price rises.

Used, V6s appear to be going for £60k now though…

Is everything still first edition?

When I had my deposit in, I would have gone for a bare bones, no optioned 4 cylinder.

They are all still FE. I expect it'll start that way until FE means final edition

I’ve had a test drive of an i4, and of a First edition V6.

I think it’s a great car, I did actually quite like the i4, but it’s missing the v6 exhaust gurgle, and also I don’t like that the engine is covered on the i4. They seem like small things but they definitely steer me towards the v6.

I was hoping to get one for this summer, but the place I’m selling that would provide the funds, is not moving very quickly, so will most likely wait till next spring, in the hope that 2nd hand values will drop a bit more
