Discounted stock Emiras...

My twopenneth on values, for what it’s worth; Lotus are saturating the market with these things, the batches of cars going through CarWow are doing more harm than good. There are over 100 cars on Auto Trader now, and it will be a race to the bottom.
The cars priced at £75k+ will be listed by dealers who jumped early and probably have them stood at late 60s, possibly early 70s. They therefore will not want to reduce until their hands are forced. Sadly the Emira isn’t like a Cayman, where prices are driven by spec, as the options list is tiny - thereby meaning that once one car is listed at £65k, that’s what all the other equivalent cars become worth. The exact same thing happened with a lot of JLR products last year; once the dealers with the expensive cars know there’s no way out unless they act, the reductions will follow.

I’m saying that prices now are much the same as they were 6 months ago. There were some cars advertised then at £65. Same as now. What cars might get bid for at closed dealer sales doesn’t matter because most can’t get access to buy at that level. Show me the Emira advertised now, at sub £60k.
Later this Autumn into early 2025 could well be the shrewdest time to bag a V6FE because there will be an increasing number of minimal mileage later run cars with long manuf warranty hitting the market approaching the usual Winter market downturn.
1 owner 1 year old sub 3k mile good spec low mileage ex management cars direct from Lotus currently selling for £54k trade will undoubtedly be top £40ks.

The problem is AV, some posters still won't buy no matter how cheap they get....
Very true S, the usual pattern is to keep waiting until they reach a low point then the prices rise ££ at which point they become too expensive. So they never buy but continue talking about it.Suppose we are all guilty to a degree but many wait years for that car house or stock and never ever buy...meanwhile life passes one by at an increasingly rapid pace too.
Can't think of anything worse than sitting dribbling but just about conscious in the nursing home in later life thinking of all the lost memories and what could have been.....

Lol, the whole market has moved down in the past six months on advertised prices. Whereas there were a few examples sub 70k, now more than half of used cars are....
If you can't understand that prices have moved down, I can't help it
lolIf you can't understand that prices have moved down, I can't help it
Where are the sub £65k cars now then please?
Just one will do?

To be fair the yellow one only dropped in price today.
Do you agree that prices are dropping?
Thought it must have done, as it wasn’t top of the pile this morning when I looked. Do you agree that prices are dropping?

The Blue/Tan car that came up last week at £65k has gone, there’s another on there but it’s a 72 plate with 7k miles at £68k… that needs to be £62ish now.
Still waiting for my 720 to sell though. Could bridge it and buy now, but it would leave me exposed if the 720 comes back to the fold!
