I think 60k would see that one sold this side of Christmas.
I'd rather have that than a 2016 991.2 at the same price...
Yeah, I think the 911 market is going to take a huge battering over the winter because there seems to be loads of sellers with cars 5/6 years old thinking they are still £60-70k machines. They're not. Hell did you see the 800 mile BMW M4 bright green one year old car go through CC for under £60k? You're talking over 500 bhp over two years factory warranty left and all it's done is the running in miles.I'd rather have that than a 2016 991.2 at the same price...
I mean what's a 911 991.2 Carrera 4 really? It's a three litre twin turbocharged AWD automatic German car with a firm ride and compromised rear seats and 385bhp. A 2023 M4 is exactly the same machine with 505bhp and newer tech and a factory warranty and a better ride.
Theres a huge issue stacking up in the Porsche market with the amount of stock piling up at dealers its a totally unprecedented situation for them. Porsche do not make stock only supply to order so the 1400+ cars they have piled up are in the main going to be cancelled orders. 363 911s quoted on the other thread discussing it. 363! The 911 is a pretty niche car how are they going to get rid of all these cars? Heavy heavy discounts is how. This will trickle down. I've always been amazed at the price of a boggo 911 but I would be pretty confident you would get one for less than list on an Emira currently so its just another outside force acting on the Emira market.
Just wait until everyone's had them parked outside over winter as well!

There are definitely discounts to be had at Porsche at the moment. Just wait until everyone's had them parked outside over winter as well!
Different car I know but my dad went in for a look at the Taycan. Was offered a new Turbo coming in for an initial 34k discount which improved to 39k by the time he was done.
Which considering a few years ago my dad struggled to get them to be bothered to give him a test drive on a Boxster is quite a different attitude.
I have never seen a dealer give you 30k straight out the gate.

I think the Taycan is an extreme example - can't see that sort of discount on an "ordinary" 911. On the other hand I can't see many people paying the £140k that some dealers are asking for mainstream 911s.Different car I know but my dad went in for a look at the Taycan. The base price of a 911 is I think £97k - unfortunately the configurator doesn't seem to show option prices.

Without checking the configurator, I think base price on a 992 C2 is over £100k before you visit the options list. That’s an awful lot of money
It is but 911s have taken a huge step on in terms of performance (even a previous gen base C2 will obliterate an Emira in a straight line) and the price reflects that. They almost exist in their own market in between the sportscars and the supercars. The Emira is competing with sportscars - i.e. the Cayman segment - and I think it's in major trouble if/when prices start to converge with 911s.Another car dropping towards mid sixties, and a nicer colour combination:

Definitely can see cars dropping to high fifties next year
