A110S - Riveted Number Plate - How to remove?

I would like to change my number plates.
My car came from Alp Orpington - the plates appear to be riveted onto the car. I have not seen this before - all previous cars have used screws or adhesive for the number plate.
Any suggestions as to how best remove the rivets and then refix new plates?
