I ve looked through the manual, but can t find anything on changing the battery in the key card.
Googling suggests having to press one of the buttons 4 times to activate the card. Can anyone clarify if this is the case & the procedure to follow?
Thanks
Push the top of the key card off, it only goes in one direction so push the top with your thumb from the edge of the right hand side of the card, it is difficult and there is resistance however it will come off. Battery is under the cover.Googling suggests having to press one of the buttons 4 times to activate the card. Can anyone clarify if this is the case & the procedure to follow?

Once I saw that "key card not detected" message. I forgot the key on my pocket and went outside. When I returned it was on the dash. After getting into the car and placing the key to its place the message disappeared,
On another occasion my car displayed a message saying "low battery on the key card". After that I couldn't run the engine at the first press but managed it after trying again and again. When it came to lock it I had to press the button several times.
Next time I took the spare key card and then replaced batteries of the both cards by watching a video on YouTube demonstrating how to change Renault key card battery.
It's quite easy to replace the battery. Just ensure you use the same type of battery.
