Life110 lowering springs
Discussion
Has anybody got any experience of the Life110 lowering springs?
I was at Spires today and Mr Spires said although it's counterintuitive, they smooth out some of the chatter (secondary ride?) but make the larger impacts more noticeable.
I'm keen to hear if anyone has experience of them on a standard car

I am surprised that anyone who uses the car on 'ordinary' give and take roads would want to go any lower. I recently bottomed out on a narrow lane, with a small centre hump. OK going quite fast, as the visibility was good, however I would certainly not go lower.

I was concerned about this going to the ASTs, but equally didn't want to muck up David's engineering too much by insisting on the OE ride height. At least partly the higher spring rates will reduce the amount of movement under bump. Doesn't help with ground clearance if the car isn't moving around on its springs though (eg speed hump clearance).Paul.
You can reduce the amount of lowering by putting some aluminium spacer rings between the damper and the springs. If you install one at each end you end up by just -12 mm instead of -18 mm, for example. Ring inner diameter 68, outer 98 mm, thickness 3 mm max. Looks like that:
