Question regarding the front OEM brake pads:

Is there any real difference between the OEM 410608131R and 410603131R pads? The only information I found in the french FAR forum is that ...608... is supposed to be for the small brake discs and ...603... for the large ones, but strangewise the pad dimensions are exactly the same. Does anybody know why Renault uses two different spare part numbers?

The cynic in me would say the primary difference is what the price is for the pads for the larger discs.... Sir - you have the upgraded brakes and need this alternative part number....

The small brake pad has a 1mm thicker back plate due to disc thickness, 26 x 296mm vs 28 x 320mm.

Oh... that's interesting. Funnywise both part numbers appear at pretty much all aftermarket pads without any difference, the thickness is always given with 15 mm.
And just to confirm ...608... is the small disc pad and ...603... the big disc pad?

Okay, got it now...
The 1 mm thicker back plate of the small brake kit front pads 410608131R is achieved by applied heat resistant sticking tape. Overall thickness is 16.2 vs. 15.2mm for pads w/o sticking tape.
