Anyone know please. Still struggling to find the Alpine I want! I accept I am going to have to compromise on colour & can live with that now. Main Dealers have a few which are clearly 2022 stock but on 24 plates...

Just trying to understand what are the key differences between the model years.

So many to choose from around the same price! Seems to be a good time to buy right now. Not really bothered about the base engine model being slightly slower than the 300bhp model its already way too fast for UK speed limits as it is....

I can have new instock, delivery miles or factory order all for a very similar price range in the £52-56K range but I know there must be some skulduggery involved why else would the dealers be selling some way cheaper than others!!

From memory I think the main changes include the provision of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto and the addition of the A110 badge on the boot. I’m sure there may be other changes but these are the two obvious ones.

The 'new' models have Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, you can easily tell ghe difference because they have A110 (S, GT, etc) written on the bootlid underneath the word 'Alpine'.

There's quite a few pre-reg/demonstrators from last year that are being sold at a significant discount, but you won't get the lowest finance rates on them, which may or may not matter to you.

Do you actually mean pre-22 vs 22 onwards?

There were a few changes for MY22 - perhaps most notably the provision of an upgraded media centre including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These are an easy spot as the previously blank fifth button beneath the screen became an off button.

On the base model that’s about it, excepting the A110 badging on the rear.

However, there were tweaks to the media system some time last year (early summer?) with wireless CarPlay enabled. Apparently it’s just a software tweak and can be applied to earlier MY22+ cars (see separate thread).

In addition there were changes to the options/packages earlier this year. 17” wheels became unavailable for a start! A shame IMHO. If you’re looking at a variety of cars just be aware of what each comes with.

Beside the above mentioned easy to spot upgrades like Apple car play/Android Auto, rearview camera shown at the center display, different lettering at the rear, etc. there were several improvements over the years, e.g. larger radiator outlets, different engine/gearbox software versions, a more reliable fuel pump and for sure quite a lot of small things not visible. Therefore I would rather buy a 2023/2024 car and spend more money than an less expensive earlier version.

Makes financial sense to get the 0% APR deal its literally giving the car away if you have a decent deposit which I do!

MY23-24 is no different really in terms of spec from MY22-23. As standard, the car came on 17" wheels with smaller discs but most were upgraded and some people prefer the smaller/lighter setup. The wheel choices are now reduced (no 18" Fuchs for example, which are the best) and no blue stitching option which does lighten the cabin somewhat. Fuel pumps seem to have been replaced on all affected cars now, so that's a non issue.

Which dealer is offering that?
All the ones I've looked at are 2.9%

I've just looked at the Alpine offer, and it's 24 months for only the base colours.

You need a 30% deposit for the 0% APR deal. https://www.retailgroup.co.uk/alpine-car-offers/

There's a white one at Cardiff on the link for £50,800.

Completely base which wouldn't bother me or am I being brave not to have parking sensors and camera?

Survived without with all my cars bar the Mustang.

Also are folding mirrors an extra?

This one is a £4k saving. Tempting.

You'll find a range of opinions on here. I had reversing cameras on previous cars and grumbled about them, but find the one on the A110 very useful; I wouldn't like to be without. I'm not bothered by the lack of folding mirrors tbh.

As above re camera - the electric fold is only useful on regular fat cars - on the narrow Alpine there's s almost no circumstance that you will need to fold them - so manual fold is just fine

Manual fold is fine, but auto fold is a useful indicator that the car is locked, assuming you don't have to pay extra for it!

My tuppence worth on the mirror pack is that it’s useful if you drive the car year round. The reason I say that is it comes with an auto dimming interior mirror that is useful in dark conditions in traffic.

I had it on my first A110 but not the current one. Not a show stopper but I never realised how useful it was until it was gone.

On 2024 cars the folding mirrors are standard, the auto dim interior mirror is optional.

Oh no I didn’t realise that, I’ll never be able to convince my wife I need a third one!

Should be able to retrofit, it's a standard part I would assume.
