Anybody here using the My Alpine phone app?

I've already got the VIN for my recently ordered A110 (estimated delivery early june), but when entering it at the My Alpine app I get the message "an error occured". When trying a phantasy VIN close to mine I get the message "that VIN does not exist", so it seems that some kind of check is done in the background.

Is the App just crap or do I have to wait until the car has been produced?

To answer one of your questions, it's crap!
Assume it won't pick up your VIN until it's registered.

I bought a used A110 and so the VIN was picked up np. It’s got a full main dealer service history but there is no service history in the app, and items that were done as sale prep are still showing as overdue. I’ve taken it up with Alpine cust svcs. Response to logging it was quick, has been passed on internally. Shall wait and see.

My car has been produced and shows up now in the My Alpine app. Delivery should happen in about 2 weeks.

I have raised the lack of service history with Alpine France customer services - they wanted an arm of documents and my permission to try and fix the issue with the developer - the thing that has stopped me from doing so is the statement that if they fix it, it will only show the history for my period of ownership, in my opinion totally pointless.

Yep, that’s true.I had to produce the V5 to prove I was the owner as their records showed the original owner and my service history only shows the windscreen replacement and fuel pump replacement as the 5th year service was done on purchase. Fortunately I got in touch with the previous owner as the bill of sale was in the service pack and he sent me all service and alternator change paperwork, and I have the dealer paperwork for the items covered pre purchase.

Apparently the live tire pressures can be displayed in the My Alpine app at cars produced from June 2024. Unfortunately it doesn't work on mine produced in May 2024. Images from the french FAR forum.

What do you see, out of interest? I do see tyre pressures displayed in the My Alpine app for my car built May/June this year, but the actual values are nonsense numbers. In the UK they try to display tyre pressures in PSI, though, and my suspicion was they may just be getting the unit conversion wrong.

As said, it is NOT displayed on my app as my car is from may 2024. It seems to work only on cars built from june 2024 on.
However, as I am from Germany, I suspect I wouldn't face your problem with bar > psi conversion.

Having refused to send an arm full of paperwork, they decided that i was only the user of the car and not the owner .... their 'legal team' asked me to send id and the V5 equivalent. I told them to poke it as Alpine Bordeaux had proof of my ID and V5 equivalent already. A week later i got a reply saying they had formalised everything and i would now have the access / service history available on the App. Strange French process and procedure smile

Since the recent app update I repeatingly get the popup message "VirtualKey - Your smartphone is your car key".

Would be happy to get the tire pressure displayed, but what the heck is this?

I’m guessing it’s like the Tesla system- use the connection with your phone to use the vehicle rather than carry the key fob around.
It’s a great system for stranding you somewhere when it goes fubar.

My app informs me that my next Service is Jan 2025, then every two months thereafter laugh

My actual service will be Aug 2025.

I like being able to see where the car is on the map however.

Update: I've contacted the My Alpine Help Center about that new feature... guess what, they had no idea what I was talking about and asked for a screenshot.

I’m taking a guess that this has nothing to do with soon to be released features for our cars and everything to do with the new electric Alpines about to hit the road.

Yep. I've got another reply from the My Alpine Service Center... it is definitively a bug, the A110 is not and never will be able to assist such a feature. They gonna look further into it.

The app looks completely different since a recent update.

I now see a side on image of my car, and the amount of fuel in the tank. I cannot see any other information, not even the mileage that used to be shown. Anyone seeing anything different? March/April ‘23 build base model.

Mines the same, no mileage but showing fuel. It's completely wrong though.
