Alarm / immobiliser - Thatcham spec

This is an FYI. I couldn't find any other threads (cue someone pointing it out straightaway...) as the forum search is useless as far as I can tell.

My insurance company has stipulated a Thatcham Cat1 alarm in order to have theft cover. I couldn't find any info on the Alpine website re. alarm spec so Tim @ Banbury helpfully did some searching and found the relevant information so I'm posting it here in case of use for anyone else who may need it. Thankfully Alpines are CAT 1.

Kind of you to post. I’ll double check that my insurance knows that the car is Thatcham Cat 1 spec.
