So the car is coming up to 3 years old and 26K miles - it is my daily driver.

I love the car but have had a litany of minor / major niggles in that time.
In a sort of chronological order:
1. Cracked windscreen - original batch issues
2. Battery failure (x2 call-outs) - eventually replaced by RAC
3. Fuel pump failure - yes we all know about that
4. Folding mirror stopped working - whole unit replaced
5. Drivers seat broken - repaired but not quite fully sorted

All of the problems have been resolved by Alpine under warranty but it has meant the car being off the road, waiting for the RAC or stuck in repair and return trips to the dealers. My latest gripe is a creaky brake pedal and an engine cover that has faded badly in the sun and looks dreadful.

I have owned Alfa Romeo’s with fewer issues!

But still I love it.

Anyone else with a list of problems but willing to overlook them because of the way it looks and drives?

Ha I do have the cracked windscreen…. Waiting for a response from Alpine and the dealer, neither of which have had the courtesy of letting me know if it’s an acceptable warranty claim. Luckily I can’t really see it so I’m not really prepared to invest ( waste !!) more of my time trying to get it fixed, I’m very much of the view go just drive it !!

Likewise opening the boot has damaged the paintwork, I’ve just touched up and stopped looking at it smile

Just had my windscreen replaced by Alpine (sorted out by John Banks Cambridge)

Crack appeared at bottom left (passenger side) from the edge then crept along past the black area into clear glass so wasnt going to stop...

Alpine replaced it FOC. My car built 2020 so relatively early. They also did the fuel pump recall at the same time and my service and MOT and gave me a nice GT loan car for 2 days. So yes, niggles but at least they are sorting them out and learning from the issues of the earlier cars...

Realised my interior lights dont work. Car is 2 weeks old. Will need to get it sorted at some point but will wait a few more weeks to see if there any any other initial teething issues.

My GT is 6 months old.

1. Various rattles. Worst one is a buzz coming from the engine area when letting off the throttle around 4krpm. Both doors rattle, one or two rattles from the dash, ticking sound from the front right somewhere, driver's seat quite creaky.
2. Both doors "clunk" a little bit on the detents when opening/closing slowly. I haven't experienced this since owning a 20 year old Honda.
3. Panel fitment not great between driver's side headlight and bonnet - not flush. Same on passenger side, but not as bad.
4. Passenger side headlight delaminating at bottom edge (noticed recently when washing).
5. Engine or gearbox occasionally cuts power under full throttle. Detailed in another thread, some suggestion/possibility that I'm just hitting the rev limiter (which I haven't ruled out). Ironically it hasn't happened in about a month.

I still love the car of course though it is annoying having so many little issues on something so new. I will get it booked in at some point to have everything fixed, hopefully all in one go now that I've had the car a while and found most of the niggles. No car is perfect - even the Lexus I had previously had quite a few issues during my ownership, despite the reputation as being the pinnacle of reliability.

Infotainment glitches on my pre-facelift car on a 72 plate: radio sometimes fails to find a channel. Restarting the car usually sorts it out. Satnav is occasionally silent despite not being on mute. Restarting the car usually cures it. Front bumper to wing shut lines between headlamp and froot are poorly aligned. Having seen other cars with the same thing I have to conclude that it is a characteristic of the marque.

I have had something similar to this - music stuck at a constant volume no matter how much I turn it down. I have a suspicion that as I was adjusting the volume, I was actually adjusting the sat-nav volume rather than the music volume because the satnav was extremely quiet next time I started the car.
