Life 110 / ITG panel filter for A110
Discussion
Just fitted to one of these to my 2021 A110 S.
11k mile car, just under 3 years old.
Seems to make quite a difference - there is more intake noise - not night and day but the car is now giving a more complex / turbo sound.
However, I'm actually more suprised about how much more responsive it is - seems to really get up and go from low rpm's.
I haven't had chance to try the top end yet.
I wasn't expecting much from an air filter - not looking to oversell it, but it almost feels like the car has been remapped.
The old factory air filter looked clean on top but was full of quite a bit of junk from the underneath when I pulled it out. There was also quite a bit of dust / what looks like bits of leaf / twig at the bottom of the airbox - which I vacuumed out.
Certainly in my ownership, the car is not parked under trees.
The car was just serviced at Alpine - was surprised the old air filter hadnt been checked / cleaned / replaced - looking at the service schedule, seems like it is a yr 4 / 24k miles job.
So takeaways - on my car anyway, this air filter seems a good bang per buck mod.
And even if you don't change to a performance filter, it wouldnt hurt to clean out your airbox and check your OE air filter ahead of the service schedule.

Changed mine 12 months ago, exactly the same findings as you, totally transformed the car. just checked / cleaned it yesterday while carrying out 4 year service and trans oil change, Trans oil very discoloured for 15000 road miles.

That was the best £78 I have spent in a long time - many thanks for the top-tip.
Amazed such a small change can have such a big impact on the way the engine runs.
Way smoother at low rpm and pulls much better at motorway speeds.
Definitely the 4 year service schedule for the air filter now looks way too long, would recommend replacing the standard one as soon as possible. I definitely think my 3 year old filter was acting as a block on smooth running.

Good to know. Mine arrived yesterday and I look forward to fitting it…!Amazed such a small change can have such a big impact on the way the engine runs.

The intake is on the left hand side of the car, just behind the small curved window to the rear of the passenger door.
That intake seems blocked off from the inside though, and the actual intake pipe comes into the airbox from lower down. Can you elaborate? My guess is that the rear quarter is a cavity with air running into it from the grille behind the window, and then the intake pipe drawing air out of that cavity from lower down. Just something I've always wondered, but never seen "proof" as it were.
I’ll need to have a look, I thought that the intake dropped down and then came up again, forming a kind off s bend so that moisture didn’t get into the filter box - might be a small drain at the lowest point as a fair amount of water will be blown into the intake when driving in the rain. The most I’ve done is replace the filter, anyone else done any more work in that area?
