So... I've been reading a lot on here about the dreaded fuel pump issue - something that I was aware of but hadn't been unduly worried about until I read so much unhappiness here.

So I called my dealer who (after explaining the current recall and that they had started replacing pumps on recalled cars) recommended I call Alpine HQ (0800 023 2330). So I did and spoke to an extremely helpful guy there. The main points are as follows, (you guys probably know all this already):

1. There is an official recall underway to replace all affected fuel pumps - owners will be contacted by email to arrange appointment with their dealer.
2. My email address on file was incorrect. (Previous work email).
3. They hope to contact all affected owners by end of January and if you haven't heard by March you can probably relax.
4. There is another live recall for replacing a turbo oil feed pipe - he offered to make the appointment for this for me. This is code 'blue' - not safety related
5. My car is not currently listed for a fuel pump recall and I haven't missed any fuel pump emails (but had missed the oil pipe one). Phew.

Anyway - sorry if this is old news...

Ian
